I think the difference is that holo has still done a lot of big stuff this year that took a ton of effort on the part of management and staff like Enreco and GTA, but now there's just a sour taste left with Ame, Chloe, and Fauna leaving so quickly.
It obviously doesnt help that both the talents stayed and are leaving say that Hololive has changed and is not the same company they originally applied for

Hololive died, so Phase Connect could thrive! :Zaion-HAHAFAYAH:

Cue the incoming downvotes and angry replies.
To be fair, Phase Connect has no management oopsie this year?

It is pretty crazy to say that Phase Connect is the only vtuber company without any negative coverage in 2024....

What a crazy timeline we live in, huh?

I know the glitz and glamor of hololive is what attracts so many people to their talents but do viewers genuinely want more performance and idolshit over streams?
I understand and respect the value in their work as entertainers but if they're all spending hours and hours behind the scenes preparing for a 1 hour concert or recording a 3 minute cover song or voice packs leaving their viewers with nothing to "view" are they even still streamers?

When the whole point of streaming is to be able to speak directly to your fans I feel like cover prioritizing "homework" over talents connection with their communities just erodes the faith the fans have in their talents. At least thats how I see it anyway.

like 10% of the EN audience does, don't know about JP but I am going to guess they do more than the EN side which is why Cover treats every branch as if the fanbases wanted the same thing.

Ever since Council it feels like once a girl gets her 3D reveal she's "doing homework" and flying to Japan and stops streaming as much. They also stop doing whatever their specialty was and just streams the FotM slop.
I think I get it. Management doesn't give a fuck about streams. Superchats and YT ad money is a small percentage of the company's overall revenue. They want the talents focused on the money makers like sponsorships and idol stuff, even if their customers simply want to see the girls on screen.

how about you don't say that until dec31, alright?

In all seriousness, as a non-Holo-watcher, i think Cover overall should be okay? Like, correct me if i'm wrong, but wouldn't newer people leaving(such as Kunai and Vivi dipping from Niji) be a worse look for the company overall? Older talents leaving sucks, and Fauna's explanation for her leave is cryptically-suspicious, but she's still been with the company for a while, same with the others, some people get fatigued from that, and whatever the "change in direction" is, clearly it's affecting a minority of the talents(unless the graduation queue is real).

The arguing alone in such a thread would make the KF Autistic Thunderdome look like a Mensa convention. That being said, it's been a while since I updated the draft.

> Leaving to take care of a family is such a weird reason
A-chan might not have the leniency she used to have back when COVER was still figuring things out, especially when her family lives away from her workplace. There's the option of going full remote working, but ultimately, I believe A-chan has other commitments and stuff she'd like to do, and being stuck in a PR staff position is no longer ideal for her.

Regarding the interview stuff, if I remember correctly the management between JP and EN talents do have their own flair and is why we're getting early myth+council clusterfuck with omega bs so the comparison isn't exactly apple to apple.
Suisei herself has been consistently busy, and it's apparent from the number of streams she has done this year and the previous one alone (reminder that MGO is her personal project with InoTaku, and most of the expenses made for this project come from their own pocket). I would love to see the source of this particular interview as I have never once heard about this claim unless it originates from one of the streams I miss out on.

Regarding whether the changes would benefit Suisei the most, you can say the same for any hololive members with a singing focus like Watame. This sentiment also erases the early struggle Suisei used to have before settling in as an official Gen 0 member, will you say the same about Mori too because she's the "Most popular and successful HoloEN so far" as well?

Suisei also has her own legion of antis, but for the most part, she has always been consistent in reminding people to not be swayed by rumors and she too, chooses to not poke into it.

It's expected I guess to have people rrating like this but beyond her stellar career, she's also someone who won't abandon her friends (evidently shown with her trying to get her indie friends involved in her stuff occasionally) and IF, by some strange revelation, all of this turned out to be a facade then there's no one in COVER that we could trust anymore.

I think it's just oldfag shareholders not understanding streamer stuff and just soyfacing at event revenue, thus pushing for more idol-oriented stuff.

Can anyone identify this site and confirm this is fake or real? Someone on /vt/ posted this screencap of some translated leak of over a week ago that Chloe and Fauna were out the door, summarizing that it's due to the influence of Miko and Suisei's clique and the direction that they want to take the company in.

Can confirm this was posted on Suisei's page.
Recent posts on the page, especially after the Fauna announcement is accusing MiComet as being the driver of the change in direction.

Currently I am thinking this is caused by the increase in managerialism and the expansion of bureaucracy in Cover as a natural progression of the company expanding.

I mean, the company isn't dying any time soon and I don't think they are mistreating anyone, just mismanaging them, which is nothing new for them. The problem is when the mismanagement becomes too much and the talents hit their breaking point.

Another thing is that EN losing a consistently higher than average for EN ccv streamer hits a lot harder than it does on the JP side. The viewer pool for EN is not nearly as large as JP, so if people burn out from their oshis being overworked or graduating, viewership could start declining.

The idolfag shit is my favourite Hololive content, but I also think it's become too prominent to be practical. Years ago when it was just the HoloFes stuff once a year and random 3D live guest appearances at their own discretion it was manageable, but as they've started introducing more international events and probably plan to do even more still it's leading to an absurd amount of time in the studio away from stream.

I wouldn't be surprised if needing to travel to the studio in Japan for events is one of the biggest problems for the ENs. Several of them moving to Japan full-time tells me they're spending enough time there that constantly travelling is overwhelming and it's easier if they just live nearby, but for anyone who isn't willing to drop everything and move thousands of miles away from their families, their only options are to either fly over there several times a year and deal with the jetlag and visa bullshit every time, or just leave.

Corporatization always kills creativity. This is an inevitable direction for Cover and it was predicted long before the string of graduations(even if most of us deluded themselves it wouldn't). Creativity will die for "safe picks" and the bloat of a corporation getting bigger will involve shitty middle management with shitty paperwork and even shittier red tape to go along with it.

It's true that this won't kill Cover, but this is definitely a wake-up call for fans and applicants. The JP side will be fine as their culture is literally a perfect fit for corporate life but EN is unstable as most of the English speaking countries put personal freedom and happiness above the "greater good"(company).

I could also be doomposting to be fair because Justice and Advent are representations of Cover hiring more specialized/gimmick streamers. Both Cece and Gigi do skits and weird streams constantly (Never forget September). ERB has the most whackass schedule compared to every other holo since most of her content is karaokes and then restreaming her karaokes. Fuwamoco is just Twins. Biboo is a Gaming Zoomer.

Maybe they'll plug their management leak. Maybe they won't. Since Cover has let Fauna release that statement there's no way they won't take measures to investigate at the very least.
