2 graduations confirm Council as the worst EN gen. The funny part about this graduation is now we get the meme of "Promise Status: Broken". Cry about it Councilsisters.

Council was my favorite EN generation and had my favorite chemistry in collabs. So seeing Fauna, who I thought would stay a permanent fixture of HoloEN, leave, really just saddens me. Cursed gen.

They can always debut another vsinger thats horribly initially mismanaged so they can shove it into Council with a cute nickname, name it Hololive English Subsistence or something

I was just reading a few of the comments on the last Gura stream and there are already a few people who are writing things that make it seem like they'll kill themselves if Gura graduates.
Do you think that governments might be demanding that Gura stays on Hololive, maybe even paying her to, simply to avoid the crisis caused by chumbuds killing themselves in the thousands?

If anything, Gura now has a moral obligation to graduate for the betterment of mankind.

Idk why they would finally decide kill themselves after all this time. Maybe those ones are really parasocial, but you'd think those people would've already ended themselves because she doesn't stream regularly anymore. She's streamed 21 times this year (not counting appearances streaming outside her own channel or special events like EN Reco, birthday, lives, outfits etc). For me that's all good because, even though I greatly enjoy her streams, they don't take up my headspace when she's not streaming.

As I was typing this I just realized my own hypocrisy, because I'm in the middle of contemplating hanging myself over Aqours (anime/seiyuu idolshit) having their final Live announced. So maybe these special chumbuds are onto something.

Hololive's goal has never been just to be streamers for a very long time now, though. I don't know why they should be expected to stream as much as or more than indies that only have streaming to worry about 95% of the time.
So what is it that they are aiming for? Like, I appreciate a 3D live up to a point, but if you're comparing them to an IRL idol group then honestly the number of lives is very low. Even accepting that motion capture recording is going to take 10x longer than a regular gig... meh. And similarly for sponsorships or merch - if that's really what they're spending all this time on then the RoI in terms of visible results is just not there. Maybe I'm just not the audience for this company any more. But every time I hear about how much behind the scenes work the girls are apparently doing, I don't feel sympathy, I just think they've got bad priorities. Are other fans actually happy with where the talents' time is going?

What crisis? The savings in neetbux alone would make governments strongly in favour.

Ame's bullshittery limit,
I left because my demands of a new white girl for Bubba to fuck every month were no longer being met.

As far as personal projects go, the 3D lives the girls personally produce (the anniversary and birthday ones) are probably the most time-consuming thing they can do in the company. They have to completely plan and wrote proposals for the whole thing (They can probably hire someone, but I don't think any do), meaning every song, choreography, and MC segment. IRyS was talking about how she had to do spreadsheets for lyric splits for her last live, for example. Her manager did some of them, but she also personally did. Then they have to work with a director and whatever artists or 3D artists are involved. Then they have to learn it along with whatever guests agreed to it.

Obviously that didn't really apply to Fauna, but sponsorships also seem to come with a lot of input from them, even if it is just merch. Plus having to come up with their 3x a year alotted merch, including finding people to design it and getting it approved. That and more just seems like a lot of shit that adds up.

And IDK, all of this isn't exactly new. Maybe people just think it is because EN was locked from doing anything with Japan for so long.

Right. Perfect example of something that just doesn't seem like a good use of a talent's time (I'm sure some talents are autistic and want to do every detail themselves, but it shouldn't be the default) where a corp (particularly one positioned as a production company) should just handle it.

Again, that just sounds like the kind of thing where some talents probably want to have some input some of the time, but the company should mostly be handling it. I mean I do appreciate that Holo merch is pretty high-effort, and I can't deny that their business strategy is working, but is it really worth the streamers doing so much themselves?

I've said similar things before, but people understandably shrugged it off when Holo was doing well. Also it feels like the kind of thing that could gradually build up to breaking point.

The main issue with "homework" delegation is that the talents vision for a project could be different to the company's. You can see this type of thing in corporate environments all the time: a hands-off stakeholder outlines their desires, a remote project team delivers a product that meets the criteria in all the wrong ways and voila, budget and time wasted. The only way to get exactly what you want is to make all the decisions yourself, especially when it's your money and brand at stake.

On top of that, centralising merch and project planning will just lead to corporate slop like acrylic stands for all occasions.

Gigi's comments (member stream) New

Gigi had a membership stream yesterday, and said she's fine to share what she said on it:
  • Clarifies she's too new to really have a say on the recent happenings, makes a joke about it sounding like she's being stopped from speaking
  • Doesn't doubt that people are having negative experiences, because, being in a creative/creator position, they will inevitably butt heads at some points, and can get rough if they have someone to answer to
  • From her own experience up until now, she hasn't had negative experiences YET, is having a good time and enjoying herself and could be attributed to her new Holomember status
  • Hopes to stay for a long time, wants to do a lot of things for the following years, she joined because she wanted to create memories with the talents at Hololive and the communities
  • Says that things could be improved, they can be better
  • "I feel as if management can be improved, and people are individually satisfied and happy, these two things can coexist in the same sentence"
  • There are things she knows she couldn't do without Hololive's support, and wants to accomplish a lot more goals within Hololive, says that people are not gonna get rid of her that easily, likes her support group and structure
  • Says she's easy going, but she has OPINIONS, and underneath all the cringe, she has a brain, if she's being abused/taken advantage of, she will know, and will respond accordingly, tells grems to not worry about her, she can't be that stupid to not take care of herself
  • Feels as if life is fleeting and time moves like an arrow, wants to make sure she left a positive mark on everyone
  • Wishes Fauna a happy farewell, wants to complete the world tree so she will spam minecraft the following weeks, hopes to keep contact with her after she leaves
On my personal note, im finding it increasingly funny how when people saw other members complain about management before this, they would instantly believe it, but now that they're saying that things are fine, suddenly, all the members are lying and there's no way they are being honest.

Honestly, I'm looking forward to future vTuber models from Hololive using this artstyle from their recent corporate presentations:

I think it will be great, so much better than the old designs. Imagine 3D models in this style! My God, it will be beautiful!

corporate Memphis will die out and Hololive won't suffer this shit for too long. It's just a fad that will go away. You can take that to the bank.
