It obviously doesnt help that both the talents stayed and are leaving say that Hololive has changed and is not the same company they originally applied forI think the difference is that holo has still done a lot of big stuff this year that took a ton of effort on the part of management and staff like Enreco and GTA, but now there's just a sour taste left with Ame, Chloe, and Fauna leaving so quickly.
To be fair, Phase Connect has no management oopsie this year?Hololive died, so Phase Connect could thrive!
Cue the incoming downvotes and angry replies.
like 10% of the EN audience does, don't know about JP but I am going to guess they do more than the EN side which is why Cover treats every branch as if the fanbases wanted the same thing.do viewers genuinely want more performance and idolshit over streams?

It is pretty crazy to say that Phase Connect is the only vtuber company without any negative coverage in 2024....
What a crazy timeline we live in, huh?
how about you don't say that until dec31, alright? To be fair, Phase Connect has no management oopsie this year?
The arguing alone in such a thread would make the KF Autistic Thunderdome look like a Mensa convention. That being said, it's been a while since I updated the draft.Johnny looking at this post and his finger shakes as he tries not to hit the Phase Connect L Collection thread he has had written up for a while now
"Patience..." he tells himself, "You're next fishman...."

I think it's just oldfag shareholders not understanding streamer stuff and just soyfacing at event revenue, thus pushing for more idol-oriented stuff.like 10% of the EN audience does, don't know about JP but I am going to guess they do more than the EN side which is why Cover treats every branch as if the fanbases wanted the same thing.
Can confirm this was posted on Suisei's page. Can anyone identify this site and confirm this is fake or real? Someone on /vt/ posted this screencap of some translated leak of over a week ago that Chloe and Fauna were out the door, summarizing that it's due to the influence of Miko and Suisei's clique and the direction that they want to take the company in.

I mean, the company isn't dying any time soon and I don't think they are mistreating anyone, just mismanaging them, which is nothing new for them. The problem is when the mismanagement becomes too much and the talents hit their breaking point.how about you don't say that until dec31, alright?
In all seriousness, as a non-Holo-watcher, i think Cover overall should be okay? Like, correct me if i'm wrong, but wouldn't newer people leaving(such as Kunai and Vivi dipping from Niji) be a worse look for the company overall? Older talents leaving sucks, and Fauna's explanation for her leave is cryptically-suspicious, but she's still been with the company for a while, same with the others, some people get fatigued from that, and whatever the "change in direction" is, clearly it's affecting a minority of the talents(unless the graduation queue is real).
We call it "affiliate" now. You've jinxed it, Hina's gonna graduate now.
The idolfag shit is my favourite Hololive content, but I also think it's become too prominent to be practical. Years ago when it was just the HoloFes stuff once a year and random 3D live guest appearances at their own discretion it was manageable, but as they've started introducing more international events and probably plan to do even more still it's leading to an absurd amount of time in the studio away from stream.I know the glitz and glamor of hololive is what attracts so many people to their talents but do viewers genuinely want more performance and idolshit over streams?
I understand and respect the value in their work as entertainers but if they're all spending hours and hours behind the scenes preparing for a 1 hour concert or recording a 3 minute cover song or voice packs leaving their viewers with nothing to "view" are they even still streamers?
When the whole point of streaming is to be able to speak directly to your fans I feel like cover prioritizing "homework" over talents connection with their communities just erodes the faith the fans have in their talents. At least thats how I see it anyway.
Smells like Nijisister gayop. "Holo is stumbling, let's rope in their most successful talent into it."Someone is already trying to turn Susei into an Elira like figure in the Rrats
