I don't know what differences there may or may not be between the EN and JP branches, but it's looking more like a pattern than coincidences at this point.

I hope there isn't more in a queue right now, but clearly there's some disagreements going on behind the scenes concerning the direction of the company, and that really needs to be addressed before more end up leaving. The reason behind Fauna's departure is very concerning as she straight up said she didn't want this and blamed a disagreement with management. She isn't even using the affiliate option for this one. And given that others have cited the company's direction for their departure in the last few months, it really is looking like a pattern.

This is getting frustrating now, not just because of the specific graduations, but because of what it represents for the industry as a whole.

Corporate vtubing is, as a concept, a very good thing that I like, I feel a reputable agency's structure can bring out the best in its talents and a good company culture benefits both people in the company and the viewers - but it's on very shaky ground right now, and if Cover don't pull up on whatever they're doing wrong, it's probably going to be the end of the line soon.

The only viable competition they really have at the moment are VShojo and Phase-Connect. VShojo are so far removed from traditional corpo vtubing that they barely even count, and as an unapologetic Phasefag I've seen how retarded the fish can be sometimes; he needs some kind of fire under his arse to keep things moving smoothly. I really can't see other corpos like the Brave harem managing to recapture the big corpo magic, so we're at a kind of fork in the road right now.

Given all the talents would have had varying lengths of notice periods. So whatever change prompted people to abandon ship would have started a couple of months back in the summer.

Basically, that A-Chan left and whoever replaced her as manager was some flavour of corporate retard. That's it. People really underestimate just how much a companies success can be reliant on a single high-value competent individual putting in a lot of work, that's only noticed when they leave and it all suddenly goes to shit. Especially when it comes to acting as the go-between with creative types and businesses.
In Phase's early days, the company was on seriously shaky ground when it was only the girls and Sakana. They hated it and him, and it was hiring a dedicated manager who could talk to them in a way they appreciated is what saved the company. I suspect Cover might have stumbled into the same situation in reverse.
