Changes never get complete agreement, especially in crowded workplaces. Direction disagreement aside, some may simply not want to put additional effort adapting a change they don't personally look forward to. Especially now PLs are openly pointed at, the cost of rejection is lower. This doesn't mean everything is perfect or some talents aren't frustrated of these disagreements, but we should wait and see the aftermath of the change before openly arguing it's over

For some I'm probably coping and maybe I am, but I think it's a fair perspective. At least twitter doomposts too hard in my opinion.

You don't drastically change the work relationship like that so deep into it. If they wanted to force the Idol stuff, they should introduce that requirement for new debuts and those who are fine with it only, those who are not should be left alone to keep on doing their job as they have been since the beginning.

It's just a rrat but the timing of the statement regarding the direction the company wants to move in combined with the loss of several major talents seems to suggest Hololive is pushing too hard into the song-and-dance media aspect of the company and moving away from streaming to some degree, which is what the fans care about more than anything.

Aqua left and went on to say she wants to do concerts as indie too. Chloe left and she was one of the most music invested members who joined Cover specifically to do this as a job. Fauna also said she didn't mind the idol part of the deal. The "they just wanted to be streamers" doesn't add up. I can maybe agree with Ame, but she has a terminal "more ideas than time and luck to finish them"

I wonder if this is more a result of seeing people like Doki and Mint excel after leaving their corpo. Holomems that don't care for the idol song and dance (or the stringent practices and scheduling that comes with it) have little reason to stay if they're confident they can do just as well on their own without all the restrictions and bureaucracy.

It doesn't necessarily mean that things are bad behind the scenes, but could simply be a manifestation of the trend that many have been predicting--vtubers moving away from corpos and indies becoming more prominent.

However, Chloe seems like an outlier in that case, and could indeed be evidence that something is rotten in the blue dorito garden.

Honestly, I'm not really sure what to think. Aside from being a fan of Chloe's music, Fauna is the only one to really impact me personally, so I'm still processing.

Happens all the time in the corporate world. Either you get with the program, or leave (like Fauna did). Plus you got to add in the typical Japanese corpo-autism into the mix
