My main concern with all of this is that in that first year, they probably won't make as much money. She did mention that she made 11,000 on her last month (which is pretty impressive since EIEN was basically a new corpo). We know she was their biggest talent as far as numbers go. My question is how much of that money will she be redirecting towards projects and at what point will the earnings from each talent be enough that she makes a profit from it. At what point will she cripple her finances for this?
The idea of 100% merch going towards the talent is fine and all but she also mentioned that the merch itself would be funded by the company. This is not feasible unless its done VIA sites like UWU Market and shit like that where they cover the cost of production and inflate prices to get a cut.
I think she mentioned she didn't want to get rich off this thus why she isn't taking much of a cut but if there are managers, video editors, social media managers, and other shit, I feel like she will have to redirect a few thousand dollars each month to pay for all of that and early on it will come out of her pocket.
I'm very excited for this and while most of you might be watching expecting to see it fail, I feel like its a good business model to keep talents happy enough (at the cost of profits). If it manages to succeed it will be a huge slap to the face to a ton of the big corpos. Vshojo and Idol have been the proverbial wrench getting thrown into the machine and their existence has helped change things up a little (for the better).
