Speculation: Grimmi tweeted what seems like a reaction to Fauna's graduation, then deleted it. "Hate when that bad feeling you get way back turns out to be right..."


For context, Grimmi had announced 2024-02-05 that she intended to graduate 2024-03-03, but cancelled her graduation 2024-02-14. Note Shondo's reaction, most strikingly "grimmi is 100,000 times too good for _____". At the time, most assumed that Grimmi had turned down a spot from Anycolor, as the Black Screen Stream happened on 2024-02-14. However, Grimmi claimed in her stream on that day that it was unrelated to events "today".

Note also that 3/4 of Justice graduated their PLs on 2024-03-10, and that there are four of them instead of five.

IF true, the next speculative step is that Grimmi (and Shondo) got their cold feet from Fauna. If that is true, it follows that Fauna was already badly strained no later than February. But note that Fauna had been talking about future content as late as the end of August.

I wonder if Grimmi's feeling is less about the corpo that attempted to hire her and more about corpos in general. Imagine it was Niji and she backed out but now holo is having its own issues. So in her mind both the biggest agencies are bad in their own ways so the smaller companies can't be any better. Basically when she backed out of Niji after selengate she had a nagging thought that maybe corpos aren't worth it. This seems to be validating that thought

Basically, I wonder if it might have been something more personal than the upper management/company direction that people tend to think it is. But in that case, how hard would it be to fix? Did she want a new manager and get turned down and told she had to keep one that she hates? Would Cover really throw away a talent in order to keep a low-level manager that the talent hates?

It was definitely a different song, but I don't know which one. It doesn't make sense for Hololive's own song to trigger a DMCA anyway.

Though I believe the anon was presenting 2 different points but didn't name the 2nd song in question which made it confusing.

No, this happens all the time, such is the system. Youtube makes it almost impossible to whitelist things preemptively, even when all relevant accounts are yours, in one CDN. You can even get contentID hit from another channel on same account, or at least it used to be the case.

Kronii explained it on her Members watchalong for her 3D live, they will strike their own content but the monetization is unaffected since they give the money to themselves for striking their own channels, the way it happened to Anya could have been a slowdown on the prosses that whitelists the channels since it was blocked and not just struck.
It's all caused by the service they use to copyright strike/claim content reuploads without a license.

I wonder if Fauna's disagreement with management has something to do with traveling. I have talked about this in Chloe's thread, but I don't think Fauna has traveled for work in a while? She was the only EN who didn't travel to Japan for 5th Fes (no other talents talked about meeting up with her, and she was streaming right until a day(?) before the concert). She wasn't in NY for BD either. I think her last confirmed travel was when she traveled for her 3D showcase? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Maybe management now mandates that traveling is mandatory for concerts and she couldn't accept that.
