The auditions also specifically mentioned that you don't need to be musically gifted (or even interested in it) to apply for HoloEN. It's lowkey false advertisement of your company intentions if you then do 180 and go "well ackschually we are an idol company, so you have to clock in 8 hours a day of idol activities btw"

You don't need to be musically gifted, but the expectation that you would be doing stage shit was always there. The issue isn't the "8 hours of idol activity", it is the busiwork in-between, which seems to be shit for merch, meetings, sponsorships, prep, recordings, and other shit they seem to get pushed to do behind the scenes. In any case, in terms of EN, it was very different back in 2021. Not really a surprise to me to see more casualties from the first 2 EN gens. Advent and especially Justice wouldn't really have an excuse, since the direction of EN had already been obvious by the time they joined.
