And for all of the "Sana was a bad hire" folks, consider that she quit during this era too - competent management might have been able to keep her around....
No, as much as I think Sana/Namie is a very entertaining streamer and gave CouncilRyS a sense of unity, she probably wouldn't have stuck around. If you check out her interview with Pixiv on Youtube (
Part 1,
Part 2,
Part 3) it becomes clear that, as much as she seems to enjoy streaming, Namie loves drawing more than most parents love their children and more than some people love their next breath of air. I think everyone - including her - underestimated just how much she'd miss drawing all day long.
So yeah, when I hear Fauna or Mumei or Kronii or Calli or anyone talk about just how much unending Holo Homework they have, it seems almost inevitable that Namie'd eventually have called it quits so she could go back to her one true passion.
For better or worse, Hololive only hires talents with ambition & passion. Unlike Niji, who I think must've found Twisty sucking on a moist sock in an alleyway for nourishment. SEE I BROUGHT IT BACK ON TOPIC SO IT WASN'T JUST A POINTLESS MEANDERING RAMBLE.

Okay, let's really drill down on that, cuz I'm bored and caught up with work & streams.
Senzawa would've been a clutch hire for any vtuber agency in 2020, she's cute & funny & an incredible singer but she's also the kind of restless introverted creator who was always gonna get ground down by JP corpo autism re: game perms, music perms, not-being-offense perms, etc.
And knowing what we know now about how Nijisanji operates, rizzle me this, GyattMan: would Senzawa/Gura fared any better as an early NijiEN hire??? Would she have rocketed to an incredible 4 million subs and become the
de facto face of the company overseas, beloved by millions?
Or would she, like Selen, have been the nail sticking too high up that Elira and the rest of the nepohire squad proceeded to pound back down to their level until she was just as broken and over it as Selen?
