I know Asmongold isn't known for being smart or thinking about things more deeply than not at all, but I saw clips when Kirsche was talking about it. He said some really dumb shit. Why is this guy popular? Was it that he just started streaming decades ago when it was literally only 20 other people doing it, and he just got big for no reason? Him and xqc make me think that getting big as an Internet entertainer is totally random.

I'm not 100% on his rise to fame, but he use to make WoW guides for farming gold, soloing content, and some random videos like 13 years ago. His stream got big during Warlords of Draenor with him basically having the same persona hes been known for (pre-react content). He also did a lot of community events like viewer raids, Transmog contests, and mount offs. Those plus his "always go big dick" attitude, WoW's increasing popularity on Twitch during Legion/BFA, and streaming a lot back then got him where he is. I don't really get why people like him now when most of his streams are just reacting to videos.

Xqc was just a pro Overwatch player that was toxic and got banned from the Overwatch League for telling a gay guy to suck a dick. I have no idea why hes popular since I've never watched him and can't really understand him when I do see clips.

his react clips on youtube farm a lot of views and he's cofounder of OTK, an esports group as well as mythic, a streamer network. he's pretty well established which is probably why he only does reactslop these days. I used to like his wow shenanigans even if he sucks at warrior lole. He has also critized twitch a lot in the past, I'm surprised he defends whores so much but then again his ex is basically a twitch prostitute so he's probably biased
