Back before then, in the early 90s, and throughout the 80s, it was joked a lot about being a boy and getting shot in school due to how common it was.

But the difference was these weren't the "school shootings" was we know them today, these were incidents where a gang member would shoot another gang member, or a student who had a personal grudge against another student would bring a gun and shot them, and only them. Quite different from a kid going to school with the intention of causing as much terror and death as possible and then offing themselves.

Then proceeded to talk about possibly taking brain meds that were pushed on her by her gp before she ever actually talked to a therapist or psychiatrist for content making purposes.
