What I am doing is pushing back on this nonsense narrative that somehow Fauna has a thin skin and that's why she's graduating. Kiara, or Fubuki, or whoever your preferred canary is, can say whatever the hell they want or don't want to say about their job. But to pretend that there isn't smoke coming out of Hololive right now is disingenuous, and there's a lot of it going around at the moment.
No one is saying Fauna has thin-skin. You are just making shit up to stay mad now. Just because Chloe and Fauna didn't show their disatisfaction like Ame did, by stopping content, doesn't mean they didn't have growing frustrations with the corpo experience until it reached the point that they decided to leave. Literally no one, not people here nor the talents, is saying "management is doing a bangup job and don't have to change a thing!" or "Fauna is just being a whiny bitch!" Quit reading /vt/ because your brain is rotting from all their conspiracy theories.

All I've learned from this thread (I used an AI summary) is that since no one else is leaving Hololive that everyone is. Because Fauna is bad in bed her boyfriend left her for Miko who is not gay like Kiara

and Ame's bullshittery limit,
It's kinda semi-confirmed that the "vtuber and mocap consultation" services she is doing right now as dooby is probably one of the main reasons she graduated. She said as Ame that there is "something she wants to try and take care of". Those are stuffs she reasonably wouldn't be able to do in Hololive from the very beginning, changes in direction or not.

I will never accept graduation

Do you know how many people have only started following vtuber in the last two years? When we enthusiastically introduced our oshi to them, thinking that the fan community had welcomed new friends, but oshi graduated the next day. When the outside world feels that vtuber is nothing more than an opportunistic profession. How do we explain that to them?

In the past Hololive fes and concerts, it is common to see many teenagers and children, who like vtuber as much as Pikachu and MIKU. But then you announce that you're ending this IP because you're having problems with some unnamed executive. All the combinations, all the promises, all the expectation of audience, all become air. like a car accident. How dare you do that?

Do you know how many people started paying attention because hololive seemed more stable than nijisanji or some indie vtuber? Your sudden departure not only created a crisis of trust, but also forced other colleagues to carefully answer a lot of offensive questions ,
Why can't you just say that I can't take this place anymore, so I have to leave, instead of saying that I love everything about this place, but I don't want to be here

I once imagined that if one day a vtuber actor would die or be unable to continue his career because of a real accident, then I would cherish everything they created.
But this time is different. I just feel really sick and disappointed.
Bro give it a month, she's gonna be back doing the same shit, maybe even more, just on another YouTube channel with a different model.

After Amelia retired and within a few months she scaled up her activity as Dooby I've come around on my cynical approach to graduations, they're almost always just going off to go somewhere else to do the same shit and they're getting some cosmetic surgery done that will likely have better animations to it.

Hololive is a challenging job that requires a stupid time investment
That's self-inflicted by the company though. I honestly think they just don't value the talents' time very much, because the amount of time the talents are apparently having to put in is out of all proportion to what actually shows up where the fans can see it. Hololive EN talents put out far less streaming than big indies, which should be the other way round if the rest of the company was actually pulling its weight supporting them.

You might say that one 3D live or big company collab or sponsorship is worth a month of regular streaming. But even then I just don't see the amount of output justifying the amount of work Holo apparently is.

Is it not possible for there to be issues that are dealbreakers to some and above tolerance for others? Is it not possible that each talent may have different issues that they face? Fauna's message points the finger squarely at management and I do believe her because it sounds like she didn't have an issue doing the holo homework. While others have said that they have great managers and I believe them because some of these people won't be stopped from saying they have issues when they arise. These things can all be true without having to accuse either Fauna or the other members of lying. I have never believed holo was perfect and I am currently in the mood to shit on them because there is absolutely no reason to lose Fauna to fucking management issues. Ame I can understand because of all her extra curricular interests, but Fauna and Chloe? Really? Maybe they have things like Ame does that are definitely not possible to pursue while in Holo, but I haven't seen or heard about them.

Even in this case though I think it's premature to write it all off as done for. They have the opportunity to make good inroads with the community at large by getting the support the girls need to stay within the brand. Everyone felt pretty good about Holo for the better part of 2 years because they largely achieved this. Fauna's departure is the first time in a while I feel like they have lost my confidence in their handling of the talents which is who I care about. I do not care about the brand name. I will not sell my loyalty to Holo at the cost of the girls. They need to get it together and stem the bleeding now or this L thread will become just as useful as the Niji one was.

Blame Jap corpo autism for having the talents do so much behind the scenes work that it eats up their time and energy that should be spent on streaming and doing things that will really help them grow. Also blame the upper management for being so risk averse that it stunts the talents' drive to do things. Can't blame them though, Cover is a billion dollar company, a lot is at stake for them and they know what it's like to be on the receiving end of a company-killing event (Mio perms drama, Mano Aloe's graduation, Coco's Taiwan yab, Rushia's termination). I just hope they find the balance of protecting their company and letting the talent do the things they want.

Hololive's goal has never been just to be streamers for a very long time now, though. I don't know why they should be expected to stream as much as or more than indies that only have streaming to worry about 95% of the time. Different talents stream at different rates. Calli and Kiara are among the more busy talents outside of streaming and they still stream almost full-time, Doki is probably the most comparable to them in terms of what she does on and off stream and she is also a known workaholic.

If a talent is more project-oriented, it makes sense they would be more interested in focusing their time into that shit, which is of their own accord. It makes sense for those girls to focus on that stuff, if they wanna do it, too. After they finish their stint at holo, they can do all the streaming they want. It become much more difficult to do any high-quality, 3D-oriented shit after they leave.

Now, whether Cover is wasting their time with stuff like approving weird unusual stream ideas and meetings they don't need to be in is another matter. If it is anything related to projects, that has always been something the talents decided to take on themselves.

Fauna's bullshittery limit is clearly lower the everyone else's lol
Literally quoted it in the post you replied to, man.

for now she's the only one that mentioned management being an issue.

I don't remember them talking about management disagreements as their reason to graduate, for all we know they just didn't want to be part of the face of the company, Chloe had health related issues listed as part of her reasons to leave, and Aqua may not have liked being delayed her 3D performances due to the amount of talents and the studio not being enough to accommodate them all in a timely manner, or maybe she didn't want to be treated like a mascot due to her autism, Ame liked the company enough to make them have an alternative to graduations, and more than likely her main reason to leave being restrictions on all the things she wanted to do.

Nothing that we know of
why the fuck does it matter if they know about it, if they won't talk about it in detail we can only speculate for now if all they say is "things changed" what fucking things? do you know? we don't so do tell us, since

somehow means we now read minds.

who? Mumei is taking care of her studies to make sure her grades don't go any lower, Gura has some health issues she herself talked about with what little she tells about her absence, Ina has the visa issues yet she still scheduled content to be posted, who else is there that is currently on hiatus?

A:

"Differences in direction"

What do they call those people who make decisions on what their employees should be doing in the company again? Oh yeah, management.

B:

Smoke. Fire. Not too hard to extrapolate that something's up.

C:

Everyone on this site calls bullshit on Gura's "health issues" haitus on a daily basis, but now we're suddenly treating it as gospel? Little convenient, but I guess it's time to circle the wagons now! Somehow Gura's health is keeping her on haitus, but Chloe's is so much worse she's got to leave? Well DAMN, I guess let's just completely ignore everything that's off with that series of events! This may be an industry founded on the idea of kayfabe, and Hololive may be the corporation within the industry that most values keeping the kayfabe performance alive, but we can 100% trust what people say on stream with their corporate persona!

Remember kids: there is NOTHING that could possibly be wrong in Hololive at this very moment!

That's not saying she is thin-skinned, you fucking retard.

But ok, you're right. Hololive is fucking donezo, Yamanba. It was destinted to last forever and no one at all would ever graduate, but A-chan ran off with the recipe for the secret ingredient to Mr. Yagoo's holo-patties that they were using to mind-control the talents and it is wearing off. Fauna finally snapped back to reality and remembered she had been raped by OmegaA and couldn't live with the thought. All the other talents are lying bitches that think Fauna is plotting to take away their livelihood.

Go whine about it to Yagoo on Twitter or something so something gets done about it, then.

Ironlung isn't asked to sing and dance. Also her content is like "reacting" to videos on Youtube

not liking the direction the company is going could mean they are:
1. hiring too many talents but not enough managers.
2. they are not letting them create content they want due to perms and restrictions, out of fear their channels get deleted, or due to legal constrains.
3. they are using the popular talents more than the less popular ones for concerts, promotional materials, sponsorships and advertising, giving the talents a lot less freedom due to setting the expectations on how they are perceived by everyone that is now looking at them and their content.
pick any and they could very well be the reason for Aqua deciding to leave, she didn't call out management for being retarded, so learn to read.

"with what little she tells about her absence"
she never mentioned another reason for her absence, and she never mentions management being a nuisance for her to stream, we all assume she's just lazy and some take her word over being sick as the main/only reason for her not streaming. none of us know if she is too sick to stream but not enough for her to consider leaving, Gura wanted to be an idol and for all we know she wants to stay but is unable to stream for whatever reason.

but Chloe's is so much worse she's got to leave?
well yeah motherfucker she has throat issues meaning she can't sing, you know, the main fucking thing an idol company does, Gura's issues could be different if she is actually sick and not just saying she is so people stop asking her why she's not streaming.
Well DAMN, I guess let's just completely ignore everything that's off with that series of events! okay so we either trust a person working for the company on what they think the company is doing and their reasons for staying, or we trust a random autistic sperg that has never worked for the company and has 0 idea on what's going on inside? I and others are only going by our assumptions but you are acting as if everything you say is somehow not only true but also factually proven.

you keep going in circles about how everyone is currently coping that Holo may do no wrong when most have agreed that there are alot of issues with management and that things could always go tits up, people are simply disagreeing on the severity and debating on what these issues could entail and why, from each talent individually having different or less issues to people just getting better deals out of the manager roulette, or simply each person having a different tolerance to bullshit

You should go to literally anywhere else and see the amount of dooming barely stemmed by people who trust in Kiara or the other talent's words.

I know Advent and Justice are thriving right now and maybe I should just watch them, but I really miss stuff like this from HoloEN:

There are other examples but I don't know what changed, but it just seems right after Sana graduated in 2022 EN just died. Maybe I should just cut my losses, accept this as a fondly remembered bygone era to never return, and watch Advent and Justice since they are doing great.
