I've been stressing over this platform stuff for MONTHS by now and it's genuinely sad to see some of you guys are upset about it...I've been around for quite a while now and I really think we've hit the point where we need to try new things for improvement.
So none of these changes are set on stone and we're just trying to see what works the best for us...I wanted to focus on my branding as a Vsinger so I've been trying to move away from streaming on Youtube. (algorithm issues plus all the demonetization nonsense that happened recently with my companymates)
Dual streaming is not ideal because it does not focus on any of the audiences. (in my experience, viewers at a platform that has less chatters get discouraged to watch because I'm not big enough to have sufficient viewers on both platforms)That's why I decided to divide platforms depending on stream contents without completely moving because a lot of my current viewers are mainly Youtube based.
There's no other way to do KR streams because KR Twitch doesn't exist anymore and most KR viewers were not on Youtube even back then so it's gotta be CHZZK.
I'm still trying to figure out a way to simplify Youtube membership to one lowest tier without messing the streaks. (I'll update you guys soon) That way you guys can still use emotes on stream & keep your membership badges.I'm only trying to utilize the lowest tier on Twitch also so that you guys can use emotes Overall, I'm trying to keep Youtube + Twitch memberships under $10 so you guys won't feel like it's too much of an extra cost every month.
Patreon is an additional platform that has contents that does not interfere with my usual streams. I separated it because I didn't want to worry about monetization or algorithms and make contents freely. Main contents there are recorded videos that require prep, time, effort, and cost incurred for me. You do not have to get membership there and still will not have any problem enjoying my contents. I also tried to make the price reasonable as possible to enjoy all of the contents there... If you read all the way till here, thank you so much for going through my internal struggles right now... I really couldn't think of a better way to execute this and I really tried to make everything low cost for you guys as well if you're just casual stream enjoyers. If you have a better idea, I'm all ears so please send me suggestions.
At the end of the day, I just wanted to grow and do more fun contents with you guys, so I was really sad to see some of you guys being upset about this change...Regardless, I really appreciate all the love and support you always give me. Thank you so much and I hope you guys also know that I really care about you guys as well.

My main Youtube channel (here!) will be used for music uploads & only for certain types of streams (karaoke, handcam)
However, all stream VODs will not be public on this channel.

Youtube membership tiers will stay as it is.
(If I try to change anything, it will affect your membership streaks)
Only difference that will be made is that membership streams will no longer be done on Youtube.

I'm not sure what happens in an environment where corpos are advertising actual people and those people can leave while benefitting so easily from all the advertising and resources of the old corpo. Do talents just get saddled with onerous contracts that give them huge amounts of debt should they quit instead, like how they do with Korean idol industry? I really doubt that removing this anonymity would be better for anyone involved.

We're in that world already - just look at Fauna - I just wish everyone be honest about it rather than nudge-wink bullshit. Corpos would still be viable as long as they're pulling their weight. We might see more 1-year non-competes (which is always a starting point for negotiation, not the end of it) or setups like the Brave Idol deal where the corpo retains a revenue share for a fixed period.

Because I am yet to see an explanation how using their legal name and a real photo would benefit a vtuber.

I'm not saying it would be beneficial. I'm just saying I don't think it kills the medium. I think vtubers in China could publish their name (does this law actually say they need to publish a photo too or is that you exaggerating?) and carry on the same, and I'm baffled that they'd rather stop streaming than do that.

I think corpos completely hiding their talents' existence is not viable and a sign of a black company. (And I think most fans already realise that on some level - the good corpos that treat their talents well already treat PL info as an open secret). Beyond that I don't really care about anonymity (if you're just streaming entertainment) and don't think it matters, and I think it's weird when people say it's some kind of essential heart of vtubing. Personally I prefer to know who someone is (and if someone starts getting political then I think it does become important to know what background they're coming from), but if a given talent wants to stay pseudonymous then that's fine too and plenty of fans apparently like that.
