I've been thinking lately about WHY Nolan acts this way.

I reckon it's just what narcissism looks like on a profoundly stupid person. There are dumb narcissists around but Nolan seems to have a legitimate intellectual disability. Someone who thinks they can never be wrong while at the same time being too stupid to get things right, the combination is a disaster and seems pretty common among cows.

While it might not be as specific as NPD, I do think that he's got some other major personality discord aside from autism; and the two are in constant conflict to prevent him from actually be coming a useful member of society. A Farmer had this to say on the thread where he was doxxed:

There's always those stories of people living with actual retards and they say they love them but deep down they're dead inside. Going thru his family's facebook was really shit exactly because nolan's sister seemed like a genuine nice person. And her family loved her a lot and it shows. I've been thinking lately about WHY Nolan acts this way. And as best as I can figure, his autistic brain has an imprint of "This is how vTuber fans are SUPPOSED to act". The superchats, the retarded typing, all of it is him masking as how he thinks vTuber fans act. It also explains why he got so fucking butthurt at me making fun of him on KF about the streams he posted. "No one else posted these." "They're important." It also explains why he gets so angry at himself for missing streams. He thinks "I'm not a real good fan if I'm missing streams or not acting this way".

It really sheds some light on his behavior. Combine it with his inability to understand social norms and how he misinterprets anything that can even slightly be perceived as an offense against him, it's no surprise his aggressive personality tick causes him to immediately retaliate like clockwork. The only thing stopping him from being a full-blown sociopath is that he's too incompetent to understand social norms to manipulate people effectively. It's why he relies so heavily on guilt trips. His upbringing as a likely legally-legitimate retard has allowed him to get away with so much shit due to sympathy, so he's learned to take advantage of that and abuse people's compassion.

This follows along with his failed attempt at camouflage by mimicking vtuber chats, as he doesn't understand that's not normal behavior. He sees 30k people in Gura's stream and sees people sperging in chat and thinks to himself, "this is normal, I can blend in by replicating it".

EDIT: Anyone that assumes he's too stupid to be manipulative has already made themselves a potential mark for people like this. People with young children know that they can be manipulative. As someone that spent time getting college credits being a TA for a Special Ed class, I have come across a few retards that have learned to take advantage of the fact that people think less of their cognitive abilities and use it to manipulate said people to get what they want.

Admittedly guilty of having made that attempt. After his reply showed yet another long attempt to explain the issue predictably got cherry picked into what he wanted to hear was when I threw my hands up in the air with it all lol. Think I did one quick dumb follow up and gave up to join the crowd laughing at the circus. Stalled my vote a bit but not even being able to behave for the week solved that right quick.
This is however why I think @Jambalaya is entirely right that nolan knows what he does and how he does it. The entire thread now is a legacy of him in action.

I felt the same, admittedly I never enjoyed holding the sister thing over nolan as much as some others did, mainly because for what we knew it was one time and autists tend to tard-rage and hit people, I was much more focused on Nolan's other issues which seemed a lot more recurrent. So this pretty much confirms the dude is actively aggressive (remember how his autism test was like a 10 in aggression? Most people had that as their lowest) no wonder his brother "hits him", most likely just defending himself whenever Nolan attempts to smack him for being sarcastic or dismissive and the sperg taking offense.
