Late thoughts:
The Aviel/Katta relationship pre-dates the working relationship, and that does happen in startups, so Ky0resu and "Tomer" should not have taken it as licence to start their own thing, or to get indignant when found out. In the court of public opinion, the Aviel/Katta thing is a point Ky0resu and her defenders can hammer on. But in terms of dropping a Google Doc that won't get Ky0resu counter-sued, she should stay well away.
The best case scenario for the Aviel/Katta relationship is if they are friendly exes, and/or if they were transparent(TM) with all other talents and staff. If not, then resentment is understandable.
(There's also the argument of ethics in GFE while in a relationship unknown to the EN audience, the definition of GFE, etc. But that's more of a concern for the general public, and Ky0resu is
not in a position to touch that.)
The refund-shaming
may just be Aviel's poor choice of words and not a conscious play to save money. It is a shameful display regardless. I am more willing to give corpos the benefit of the doubt when they suck up visible, short-term monetary consequences for their decisions, like the massive cost Cover incurred in terminating Rushia a month before HoloFes. I can recall KoMETA using money to ask for sympathy for re-casting a model, but I can't recall any other corpo crying about refunds for a talent separation. Even Production Kawaii didn't do that for their gen 3 walkout, when it would have dovetailed with their shock and betrayal angle.
I also think Aviel's decisions in this crisis have been more emotionally motivated than ideal (for understandable reasons), but that's speculation, and even if I'm right I'm not his mom.
Will any of this affect Idol's bottom line going forward?
