I don't think it exactly reflects well on Cover that we've had all this happen in short order but I don't think the company itself is responsible for it. I think the EN market in general is shrinking for corporations, which is why Justice's debut was such a surprise to me. Fauna probably just doesn't want to be an idol idol and would rather relax and do her own thing.

I unironically blame Niji, there isn't much of a reason to stay corpo right now and Doki/Mint are proof of it. Mint's been doing a fuckton of concerts despite being an indie, and Doki's running a EA sponsored tournament and has been getting sponsorships left and right since graduating. Merch is also way more profitable if you're independent. Those were traditionally the big things a corpo could do for you that nobody else could, and now we know that's not really the case anymore.
