Back when I used to watch her, she frequently read super chats even one dollar worth super chats. Think of it this way, you a extroverted person send her money and she doesn't ignore it, it will make you feel good/emboldened because you get the attention from her and naturally feel incline to send her money again, and when you do this to a different streamer yet they ignored your super chat even if it's more than 1 dollar, you don't feel like sending them money again because they are not like Scarle.

She regularly reiterates that she is not looking to leave Nijisanji anytime soon. She voiced her displeasure at people with a saviour complex, people saying she should get out, that she deserves better, etc.
She says she doesn't want the support of those kinds of people.

She was the second highest earner in NijiEN last year without merch or sponsorship revenue:

That kind of Superchat revenue doesn't look shabby, even compared to Hololive.
Add to that merch, sponsorships, etc and it doesn't look like a bad income at all. She also has a streamlabs, through which she received over $1000 this month alone.
