🎊Check out the new Kamioshi Shrine thread! Shill YOUR kamioshi here! Win prizes!🎊
April is just around the corner, and I'd like to use this time to remind users to donate in support of the site. I am looking into purchasing more add-ons to streamline and enhance user experience, and I am also going to hire another VPS for additional backup space and other important purposes in April.
In addition: I am looking for users who would be interested in becoming Orderlies for the new vtuber threads. Responsibilities would include highlighting and properly collating information in each thread, and also maintaining the announcement widgets for each thread. Knowledge of basic HTML and CSS (very easily learned) essential. DM me your interest.
Finally, I'm looking for anyone with intermediate to advanced HTML/CSS/PHP knowledge to continue work on the forum styles. I am willing to pay for this service, but if I do, I expect commitment and results within a reasonable timeframe. DM me any offers. Thank you.
New to vtubing: "Wow, I love Korone"
Watching after covid: "I don't watch Holo anymore, I only watch indies"
Watching before covid: "Wow, I love Korone"
>pre-2018 bubble
>Japanese speaking Veteran fans
>me who can't speak Japanese but has seen the rise and fall of Kizuna AI and the pre-2018 Vtuber boom
huh
That's mostly because most of the active/well-known talents in AKA Virtual are practically the ID vtubers that was added into their rosters. Even though they are, by all account, a japanese corpo, most folks including the ID folks pretty much just accept them as ID.
And, to answer the questions regarding "how they fit into le table of numbers" you posted before, most of them ID talents there can speak english and they (iirc) still have one or two english speaking talents left that isn't ID transplants. So, all in all, it kind of fit with the chart thingie you posted.
>Be me. > Watch Kizua Ai & Kaguya Luna from the early days. >OG Vtubing Collapses. >Be there for TaiwanGate & Coco's graduation. >Eventually just become a HoloPromise fan. >Get called a filthy newbie casual.

Elira had her first collab outside the company since niji/11 with a relatively small indie she collabed with several times before. Since the indie streams on twitch there is no like/dislike ratio to check for viewer sentiment, but the twitter comments I saw from her community were generally pretty positive.
Also, Kotoka's outfit came out today
Since people seem to automatically connect "new outfit" with "upcoming graduation" these days, I decided to collect some data:
- Out of the people that had extra outfits and graduated (Nina, Mysta, Pomu, Kyo, Hex) the average days between outfit and graduation is 137 days
- Hex was the quickest with 34 days, Nina the longest with 222 days, the others were between 127 and 154
-> New outfit does not automatically mean upcoming graduation q.e.d
