I actually had this happen to me.
The second one I saw I was still in college and under extreme stress from the courseload and working, the first few preliminary visits and she literally told me that me losing faith in socialism was because of my anxiety, depression, stress from college and work and other condition, wanted to give me heavy antidepressants. And it wasn't because every fellow socialist I met early on in college was an upper middle class piece of shit that despised actual working class people.
Weird how I found out years later from various studies that some antidepressants suppress threat detection in people and may even make some people open to leftist thinking. Sure it was just a coincidence.
