I guess I'm just an oldfag with rose-tinted glasses. I really like and have fond memories of the simplistic stories of the Gen 1 and 2 Pokémon games. No doubt because I played them as a kid, but it really had that sense of adventure going for them without any larger story arcs to get in the way of that. These games still had plenty of lore and history to discover and learn at the same time. The more they started adding bigger plots and more characters, it started annoying me, mostly with X&Y and especially with Sun & Moon. That being said, I do remember actually enjoying the story and lore of the Gen 4 games a lot. Really should revisit them sometime. Been a long time since I've played them. I did play White, but never played the sequel, and it was fine. Everything after that was downhill, though I never played the Switch ones.

As far as the Pokémon designs go, I never had an issue with them most of the time. I remember when people were making fun of designs for Klefki or Vanillite when designs like Magnemite or Voltorb have always existed, none of which I have anything against.

She is supposed to be the leader but it's Pico/Memory and Loki/Yuu while Clara makes a duo with Airi. I can understand Loki and Yuu not being her cup of tea but Memory and Pico are fellow cute obsessed girls.

I get why Clara is considered the "leader" for various reasons, but from what I've seen, I think Pico has done a better job as a "leader" for their Gen and even the JP side as a whole despite not being the most popular. Pico is constantly networking/collabing with other people outside of the company, as well as puts in work for collabs and events for Phase as a whole. She's also done her fair share of advertising for Phase on the JP side of things and has tried to encourage more JP people to apply to Phase. I don't watch her much because of the language barrier, but as a Phasefag, I do have a lot of respect for Pico for these kinds of things.

Not saying Clara doesn't do anything for Kaleido as she does help translate between the JP and EN side, but it's easy to forget she's apart of the JP branch with how quickly she started streaming in damn near full English. I wouldn't be surprised if there were Clara fans that don't realize she's part of the JP branch.

That being said, I'm obligated to reiterate that Yuu is best girl.

Vtubernewdrop (the website ducky used to write for) was literally partnered with Brave and they have not reported whatsoever on the Globie shit or the monetization shit.

They generally have a track-record of puffpieces on industry trash though. Nexas, Anilive, Idol, Noa, Offkai, all of the usual suspects have gotten tossjobs at the interviewer's room. This is actually the site where I found out about the Brossom shit, because they're the only people who even reported on it, every new Brave acquisition or new generation gets instantly reported on so I can use it as a good resource for new buyouts that may not instantly reach this place.

Didn't have a chance yesterday but I wanted to sperg about Subaru's live and how goddamn phenomenal it was.

It was an hour of amazingly energetic, emotional performances and I never stopped smiling the whole time. Each performance felt incredibly high-quality, whether it was her singing or her choreography. It's crazy how she manages to make every live feel so damn special. Last year's live felt more focused on inner reflection and gratitude. The only guests for that were the Gen 2 girls and their performance together was peak feels. This live though felt more focused on moving ahead with both her friends and her fans, which she said is her goal for 2025. There were a lot more guests than last year and their performances together all had a certain theme. It felt like she put her all into the idea of "Keep going forward together."

I wanted to highlight some of the performances, starting with this kino one of 恋しさとせつなさと心強さと, the song that played in the Street Fighter II movie. She picked Towa, Botan, Korone and Aki for this cause they all played SF6 and became better gamers through it. They were also able to get closer not only to each other, but to a bunch of different people. It was pretty sweet to see how much the game meant to them through this performance. Also Towa doing Ed's pose here was cute as heck.

Next was Subaru's original song, Hot Duck, with Watame and Okayu. She said she picked these two very simply because they're the ones who can push her buttons and tease her the most. It was peak adorable high-energy and their voices were amazing together. I've said it before but Subaru and Watame's growing friendship over the year has been blessed to see. And I don't think I need to say much on SubaOka, they're basically sisters at this point and watching them has been both hilarious and sweet.

After that was 睡蓮花, a banger summer song from like 2005 with Mio and Miko. It was a non-stop 7-minute performance that really emphasized how much the three have been through together. The Vegas trip, the Okinawa journey, hosting the Minecraft events etc. The choreography was on the simpler side but made up for it in length and vibes. The lyrics seemed to be about going through a funny yet emotional summer journey together and that's exactly what it felt like.

Lastly were 2 new original songs. I especially wanted to talk about 星灯 aka Hoshi Akari. It was also the name of this live and it translates to "Starlight." Starlight is the name of her 4th anniversary live as well as her most emotional song, so I wanted to see what connection they had and goddamn was it beautiful. Hoshi Akari was basically a rock arrange of Starlight, with different lyrics, more energetic instrumentals and an emphasis on the guitar. Gotta admit that the moment I recognized the choreography and composition, the roof started leaking hard. More than anything, this embodied the theme of "We'll keep going forward together."

This is the 4th time Subaru has done a 3D live, but it still feels just as beautiful and awe-inspiring as the 1st. The only reason I'm not talking about every performance is because the post would be too big. It's even crazier knowing that she did all this while dealing with bad throat problems and bruises from baton practice. She may not be the best singer or the best dancer, but she is definitely the best idol to ever do it. I've already talked about how I'll support her to the end and this was the perfect reminder of why I do so.

Case in point, even the AMD cards, while competitive with Nvidia's (in rasterisation, we'll see how well they square up in ray tracing) are still $100+ more expensive than the mid-high card in a gen would have been a few years ago, when electronics used to basically be the only consumer products that were immune to inflation while getting measurably better.

Skill issue, but they have been ironing them recently you at least get a better chance for a quick fix from AMD that wait for Nvidia to pass and approve a fix, hear the benchmarkers have some beta drivers than have some shitload of fixes

The problems i have see with them is random crashing with Raytracing (that is gay) and some fuckery with AI scaling (aka gay if you use it) the last case i got was not because of a drive issue but a boomer virus issue that was fucking the entire system at random
