I guess that distinction of it being under the same name as their vtuber does not matter to me. The kayfabe is dead and the separation means very little to me.

The thing that Hff pointed out is true though, a lot of these new people don't just want to expand vtubing to new frontiers, their intent is destroying everything so that they can be on top.
I will say something about phase that will probably get me attacked by the phasekek gangs in this forum but, I do not think phase is comparable to Holo or even upholding anything Holo was or is, good or bad. I do not think phase is a worthy successor or even a remotely similar company to Holo.
To me phase has always been a watered down version of an early Holo, spawned after the boom like Tsunderia, Prism, Kawaii and others. All of these Small corpos were never like Holo, they were what a western guy who was a new fan of Holo in 2020 thought Holo was, aka all of the raunchy memes and clips that get reposted in social media of marine saying "I'm horny" or the "hag" meme or talents saying nigga. A lot of western vtubing is based on a mix of trying to copy their favorite aspects of Holo in the boom (the memes and clips) and Vshojo whoredom.
You basically took Holo, flanderized it and made it an agency, that's phase imo. Now the flanderization of that standard vtubing experience that people came to know in 2020 (or earlier if you are old) has been further removed and mutilated to the point that we get fleshposting and vtuber vs irl and other shit, to the point where there's no more v in vtuber and you're just left with the ol' "streamers with a gimmick" standby because there's A MENHERA FEMALE BEHIND THE AVATAR AND SHE PAYS ATTENTION TO ME AND ONLY ME. But if that's what EOPs want, then I guess that's what EOPs will get.
Edit: Keen observers will notice that I never stated any of this makes phase or other agencies BAD, just not the same or in my eyes a replacement should Holo become irreversibly pozzed or go down the shitter tomorrow.
I actually only get time to sit down and watch the concert today.

Recently Aikatsu opened their own vtuber branch. They have a Aikatsu Academy Streaming Department youtube channel where all 4 of them stream every Thursdays.
- They also have their own respective channels, Meh, mieru, parin debutted 6 months ago, but Taimu actually only debutted 2 months ago. Polka actually otaku-cried when Taimu debutted and the aikutsu girls becomes 4.
- I'm also too lazy to check if they are actually the VAs of the anime girls but holy fuck they are cute (mannerism), their model also more high quality than hololive's model, Polka stood out like a sore thumb with her giant head. The girls stream in 3D
Some excerps from the after party stream:
- Aikatsu is super autism, Polka was surprised she was given perms to sing one full song and it might be the first time the girls get to sing the full "Happy Reflection" song on stage. The company specifically doesn't allow the girls from singing their full song on their own concerts, only one chorus is allowed (because it is like that in the game)
- new holo stage feature: there are so many more lights you can use and polka told them to use everything. Polka specifically requested them to add the feature to have different colour rim lighting cause up until now it was only white
- The puppet choreography was actually super hard despite how simple it looks, a lot of fast & full body movement involving speeeening and all the little finger movements. Polka actually ran out of breath. If the song was any longer she wouldn't have made it.
- Likes eating taiyaki from the head because she can stare at the fish eyes while chomping down on it
- Wanted to do a Polka producer style concert again but it seems impossible now as Holomems got a lot busier.
- Wanted to have signature on both the set and album be unlimited. But holostaff told her she will actually die if doing so. The signed album are actually unlimited right now on the store but slated to be removed after some time.
- Reminiscent about her early days when she streamed by plugging LAN cable into phone line because her microwave interrupts her wifi

I'll give another controversial opinion. As a Phasekek I think the thing Phase has that differentiates it from the other small corpos you've mentioned (and most small corpos in general) is Fishman. I honestly don't know if the other corpos were started by western dudes that actually liked Hololive or if they simply thought they could cash in on a new trend. Yes, Sakana is an autistic fuck that almost killed his company in the first year, but of all the other small corpos I've seen only Phase's Fishman manages to capture a similar CEO energy as Yagoo, appearing just often enough to get "best girl" status from a number of the fans while also seeming to be sincerely invested in the VTuber medium and not just out there to promote himself. I won't argue that Phase is similar to Hololive because I think objectively you are correct: the company is completely different, but I do think in terms of how the company "feels" it's a lot more similar to Hololive than any other corpo has been.

Niji has always been the alternative to Holo, they were never going to adopt the same strategy. Phase is filial but they found success elsewhere. I'd say phase is much more in tune to where the EN side of things is headed than Holo. Holo is a relic from the past and though still popular, the EN market is shifting away from it.
