Its always funny to see people complain about idol culture as a monolith (and we all know the real target are JP corpos/Hololive) when some of the spergiest parasocial outbursts seem to come out of people who wholly reject or were never really described by that label, indie or corpo.
Its almost like its just a vague term you can use to shit on anything you dislike because people know its bad.

Although there is that one story of a retard finding out where a woman lived through a reflection in a selfie, its almost as if there are extensive opsec benefits of never posting your irl body.
Constant postings about how retarded the woman are for being single and wishing them well. Unlike the constant performative circus people do with their hubbys and womans.

The more "normie" side (read traditional twitch, not actual normie) is such a fascinating thing. I just saw a peanut gallery of extensively that crop of normies (e.g Sodapoppin, Piratesoftware) have parasocial melties about people not picking people for raids and how their internet e-daddy could do nothing wrong. There is a comical lack of self reflection here and i dislike that the "i just dont want to see bullshit in muh corpos" was strawmanned into apathy instead of being geniuenly against or tired of drama and the bullshit plaguing modern streaming (granted, its different for alot of people)

Livestreamfail was a sad tale. I actually enjoyed it in the beginning
It begins as its name intended, where people post streamers fucking up/PON moments.
Then it kinda devolves into all twitch content where twitch streamers would bridgade and upvote their own shit. The audience from these streamers turned LSF into a drama landfill. It was still 70% normal twitch content and 30% drama.
Then the streamers themselves started slapfights because they know the audience there enjoy the shit out of it or for whatever retarded reason. And it became 30% content 70% drama
And the first landfill is still better than the waste disposal it is today as the community fractured even harder after all the retarded infighting, even the political slapfights made their way in. Only the extreme toxic shitter remains.
If you want to know how sad that wasteland is. WoW Hardcore is the ONLY content related thing that was posted in there for the last 6 months and even half of that is retarded drama.
This utopia is what VShojo fags wanted to be in.

Of the tubers who don't adhere strictly to kayfabe I feel like vtubers like Shiina do an excellent job of things - like she obviously has a life and interests outside of vtubing and such, and she shares it often, but she is still very clearly there to play a role and be a good "hostess" during her streams while providing a comfy and enjoyable time.

What JoCat wants is a vtubing sphere chock full of vshojo types, and that makes him a bad person.
