She threw away a potential audience that would've shot the shit with her, and ran back to the people who now have her by the balls for the rest of her life. Brilliant.
I dont think that audience actually exists
Yall really overestimate the size of activist right-wing viewers, just because Kirsche is kinda successful doesn't mean all her audience will jump and support a random girl just because she has been labelled "based" once
She would experience flavor of the month support at best, as long as shes a pawn for the culture war, and once she shows a differing attitude (just like with the apology) she will be dropped by that audience "that would've shot the shit with her"
She is fucked either way and knew it
So she went the way of de-escalation instead of doubling down and pandering to an audience she isnt even certain would support her once this drama blows over in 3 weeks
They certainly didn't support her before then, why should she think that now that she said "I'm transphobic" once, they will stick with her
Ofc this apology reads bad to you, it reads bad for the other side as well, but I also feel like whatever yall folk consider the woke lefttard side or whatever (words have no more meaning I swear, this is just the opposite site of calling everyone a Nazi) will be more willing to accept an apology (not everyone ofc but some of her already existing audience will accept it)
Because to you, she bowed her head, went back to the "bad" side and is that is the real cardinal sin, unforgivable, so she will never get support from the self-proclaimed based anti-trans people
Also, apologizing and owning up to a mistake seems more of a way to mend personal relationships with other people and Vtubers than an attempt to regain an audience, from either side. At least thats how I read it.
Also, just maybe, just maybe, she doesn't want to be a political grifter like Kirsche and doesn't even want an audience that is as politically vocal as hers and the surrounding folk
She would rather apologize, maybe save a few of her already existing regulars than take a gamble on a very uncertain audience that might just leave her as soon as she stops being based
In the end, right-wingers work like coomers: If you dont keep escalating things, they get bored and move on to someone who shows them what they really want to see
