Her "All men are mentally ill" part doesn't bother me - rather, it further endeared her to me. As a cap on all that came before, and the general attitude displayed in the clip, it feels like someone I could comfortably banter with.
There is a misunderstanding of what "based" is (which is understandable, as how words can be corrupted, malformed, altered, and evolve in many different ways, including back again). "Based" does not mean "something I agree with," nor does it even mean "correct." What makes someone Based is that they say what they think without concern for how they're perceived, usually with something that is so obviously against the grain. It is to convey your opinion for no gain while risking your reputation with everyone, including your close friends - and doing this with ease as if it was as natural as waking up in the morning.
The way in which she talked in that clip was based, because she just expressed her very unpopular opinions without a care in the world. Her apology was extremely not based, as it obviously reads from a scared perspective.
On top of that, it's the worst thing she could've done. She threw away a potential audience that would've shot the shit with her, and ran back to the people who now have her by the balls for the rest of her life. Brilliant.
