Plus everything I've heard points to management only being worse at responding after the closure, so I imagine wrangling Furi out of whatever legal limbo she was in just took an unreasonable amount of time.
ETA: just skimmed through her return stream. The reason given for her 1 week suspension (that turned into 5 months) was because she handed out stickers at Vexpo with no further elaboration. It sounded like she wasn't told this until after the closure and offers made to buy out her IP before the closure were just met with silence, among other poking and prodding and possibly getting lawyers involved?

- Took a break in August after her hard drive shit itself losing all her streaming assets + personal pictures & files.
- At this point Vrev closure was confirmed to the talents but details had not been finalised.
- Went to visit friends in early september
- While away got placed on a temporary suspension by Vrev
- No reason given for the suspension at the time and Vrev chose not to give a notice of the suspension as it would only be "short/a few weeks"
- Loses access to all her Furi/Vrev accounts
- After this point Vrev management goes silent and blanks any of Furi's attempts to contact them
- "A few weeks" beomes months
- Furi starts assuming the worst and begins designing a new indie persona
- Vrev announces its closing on December 3rd 2024, Furi's first knowledge of this was her friends sending her VReverie's tweet.
- Furi contacts Vreverie management again to confirm details of the closure and to find out if she's still in contract
- Vreverie finally lets Furi know that the reason she was suspended for 5 months was for "Giving out free stickers during Vexpo"
- Has been in America visiting friends for the last few months so hasn't been able to stream earlier
- Became independent on January 18th 2025
- Keeping the Furi Ferntail IP
- Has a new outfit in the works
- currently unmonetized as the youtube account got marked as inactive during her suspension losing monetization once Vreverie removed their adsense account
- opened a twitch channel for potential multistreams
- Stickers are returning for Vexpo 2025
