Extremely funny to me that you have used "not wanting to break sources' trust" as an excuse to vaguepost for fucking ever but suddenly you have a burning "desire" to leak shit.
you dont have to like them. you do have to participate in them atl east if you want the continued privilege to be privy to this kind of of shit.I'm sorry if that's the impression I gave. I've always had a desire to talk about this stuff. In my opinion this and 95% of all the other things I've ever heard of ought to be fully public information, and that's what I tell everyone who speaks to me. This industry should not operate under a model that requires anyone to willingly choose to ignore wrongdoing and malpractice in exchange for continued access to services within it. It should never even be considered 'leaking' to talk about corruption, nepotism, abuse or any other such topic, but I don't make these silly rules.
I remember her talking about behind the scenes stuff with regards to V4Mirai. I'm actually going to go out on a limb and say that she confused the two companies which, fair LOLI just realized something - if this is true, then why the hell were Vrev sharing designs and other confidential info with her on the first interview? The lowest level interview where they should have just been sounding Koinu out and seeing if she passes basic sanity checks? I assume none of the interviewees at that level would have signed an NDA yet. If they were really just spamming those designs out to anyone who interviewed, they can't be too indignant that someone decided to leak them.
Or maybe this woman is lying and Koinu really did make it higher in the interview process than just the first call.
Welcome to the entertainment industry.I'm sorry if that's the impression I gave. I've always had a desire to talk about this stuff. Be smart about this or you'll be stuck at the level of FalseEyeD. Desperate to have some sort of influence, but nothing more than a gossip rag in the end.
Is that the kind of influence you want, though? When I talk about wanting influence, I'm thinking about False's video on Eilene. He was desperate for that to have some sort of impact. To help her or get more attention, anything. He paid for Japanese subs on that video. It got less than 200k views and accomplished nothing. People talked about it for maybe a day and then forgot about it.Being a gossip rag is why False has influence. That's why he gets invited to cohost at things like Filian's awards show and is accepted in all the mainstream circles. He knows exactly the same things that I do, probably far more, but simply chooses to filter it down into meaningless gossip that can never actually hurt anyone. If you notice, he only ever talks about things that are 'no shit, Sherlock' to people like us. He's the tabloid of vtubers, fully in the pocket of all the people he claims to be critiquing and exposing.
Do you want to cohost award shows and have famous friends? Another cog in the machine, scapegoating "the bad ones" so the industry can chug on unchallenged? Or do you want to make it so that people don't have to be afraid to expose corruption? To at least try to help break those "silly rules"?
I guess you don't know what you really want or what your values are. You just know that you should pretend to have them.
I've not wavered from my principles from day one. I have no idea what made you look at my statements about False and go 'oh that's obviously what you want as well'. My values are freedom of speech, freedom of expression, and freedom of association. Those have always been the same and I have never wavered from them even when under an enormous amount of pressure.
I might be encouraging you into something of a devil's deal but credibility and integrity trump's everything. Beyond Prurient interest, confidence is confidence and if none of the talents involved have gotten back to you, then this is one instance in which silence does not equal consent.@The Proctor
If the original agreement with the source was that the conversation was private, it's probably better in the long run to keep it that way. I don't say this from an either an ethical or legal perspective, since I don't doubt for a second you're sitting on tons of newsworthy material that's unarguably in the public interest; it's strictly a practical consideration. Other people who have valuable information, potentially missing puzzle pieces you need for other controversies, could easily miss the nuance on why you've publicised this, and won't trust you as a result of it.
If publishing what you have could prevent immediate life-changing abuse, then it's worth risking it. If it's anything less than that then you'd just be burning future opportunities for no reason - people aren't going to tell you about Crumbling Small Corpo #57 if they didn't like how you handled Crumbling Small Corpo #56.
For what it's worth, in a community with as much concentrated autism as this one, I don't believe there's such thing as a statement that can't be tracked back to its source. People will closely compare talking points and speech patterns to off-hand comments made on streams, and use a process-of-elimination until they have an answer they're satisfied with.I would wait longer for a reply and release only statements that have zero chance of being traced back to anyone in particular.
