not really. i developed severe social phobia and didnt go outside for around 10 years. lost my 20s to 30s to it. but yeah i wouldnt have tweeted it if i dont want it to be public (duh)
its a reminder to be careful and not fall too deep again.

Not a rule, but a lot of the forum's original population did come from kiwifarms' vtuber thread, and the farms has a culture and heavy suggestion to not re-use your username on it that you use elsewhere, lest you want stuff you post elsewhere dug up.

The reason why you'd want to use different account names that can't be linked is that it makes it harder to dox you. Consider this: what other online accounts have you linked to with your Twitter account, or share this specific user name? If it's an old name you've been using for years, someone with a bit of time and the power of autism on their side could well dig up stuff you probably don't want them to, or find other accounts you don't want linked to this user name.

Not recycling old usernames is an easy way to prevent all of this.

I am the same way. With the farms and adjacent sites I'll usually have something to do with stupidity in the username with the dumbass Sasuke face accompanying it, just so people can keep continuity with me if they care to. However, these sites have nothing that could ever lead back to me even though I have given out the region I live in and spoken about parts of my job in various posts across both sites. I feel comfortable doing that because I have not had a social media account with my real name or face attached to it since I closed my facebook account in 2010, and I have never mentioned or attached the usernames of my other online accounts to any of these farms-like accounts.
So what I'm saying is unlike @TheDarkEnjoyer you will never find my gura porn stash

So I guess if you truly don't care about public perception or the fact people could mess with you irl then it doesn't matter, but you have to be absolutely sure that stance is 100% true. Because if you have anything or anyone you care about irl, then they would be exposed to whatever it is that is being dug up, or they could even be harassed by strangers if you get a schizo retarded enough to want to really mess with you. It's not out of the question that someone retarded enough could bother you or someone you care about in person. When I saw the tweet and the fact that you had the same info on it, my first thought was that somebody was going to find the rest of your life just for fun. Simple curiosity is a powerful motivator for people who are bored.
