I personally think people are missing the forest for the trees a bit. I don't believe that NOA is a blatant scam. They have money, they have connections, they have a level of prestige and power. I don't disagree that it's likely Sayu gets a lot of benefit from being part of NOA.
But from everything I've heard and everything that's been confirmed, they're still a Chinese company, and their business values are absolutely and completely anti-consumer, pro-nepotism (guanxi in their terminology) and egocentric to their core.
I believe they'll support Sayu, maybe even make her something great, because she has talent and an audience. But I also think they will have zero loyalty, and nothing she has signed with them will be worth the paper it's printed on the moment they decide she's an inconvenience rather than an asset, or someone with 0.1% higher RoI comes along and asks for her spot.
