Place your bets. AZki or Roboco? Micomet is not leaving and Hololive would throw everything at the wall to keep Sora.
Azki just had that gig doing the car navigation voice, she's living her best life at the moment (if you're a map nerd like her).

And the girls are complaining a lot more about the amount of they need to do in both their PLs and work profiles as well.
Part of me feels weird about that
pretty sure most girls just wanna stream, but Concerts are part and parcel of the business

I hope they learn from this and separate the girls that want to perform and the girls who just want to stream

Probably the shift on focus from livestreaming to live events had caused some girls to think about their position on the company, It's stressful enough to tey to be entertaining but adding to train for choreos and sponsors will get anyone to be incredibly stressed out.

One month and change.

One month and change later, and Aqua could've gotten affiliate status, too.
Do you think she would have wanted that?
I guess we'll see in the future, but you'd hope it's still up to the talents if they want to actually graduate or not. And depending on how deep the Idol autism goes for that specific talent, they might prefer a "one final hurrah" graduation to the (so far) rather wishy washy affiliate status.

Tbh I dont think aqua would have taken the offer. She wanted to become a legend when she was graduating. Being an affilliate would have defeated the purpose.

Chloe literally just had an anime my man.

AZKi is living her best life, but her PL also is a roommate and she recently took up CEO work, establishing her own company. On top of being married.
How long can she keep this insane workload going on?

Cover - participation in the concerts and events is not mandatory you can totally skip them.
Fans - "why she wasn't in this event, does she hate all her coworkers, what a lazy cunt, I will no longer be a fan of her anymore, she is totally graduating next month"
No shit people who don't want to be in events don't take the option of not attending them. Unless you are Fauna who couldn't give less fucks about what others think

DEI in Japan, lol you are brain rotted.
No you are actually retarded, Japan is full of progressive expats advising Japanese companies on what westerners want until they completely parasitize and control the cultural bridge.
Sony gave their entire game division to San Fransisco, Capcom has DEI adjacent consultants when it comes to anything release to the west.

This would be the 2nd Ame-style graduation?

She mentioned finding something to do outside of hololive scope as one of the reasoning too

e: COVER's note on the differences between Graduation and Conclusion of Streaming Activities (English translation available on the post)

Just wanted to save and note it down cause it's nice to finally have a more clear stance on what affiliate means.

English version

Thank you for your continued support of the talents affiliated with hololive production.

We would like to take a moment to address some details regarding the term “conclusion of streaming activities.”

“Graduation” and “Conclusion of Streaming Activities”

Until now, when talents end their activities with hololive production, we have always referred to it as “graduation.”

The term graduation describes when a talent is leaving the production and concluding all activities, with the exception of a few ongoing projects.
However, this complete cessation of activities is often accompanied by significant sadness brought to the fans of hololive production and its talents, who have lovingly supported their journey, and the staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes.
Therefore, we are exploring new ways to positively send off talents departing the production.

As part of this, we have introduced the concept “conclusion of streaming activities” as a possible form of graduation. While it is still a type of graduation, “conclusion of streaming activities” involves stopping streaming-related activities, such as that for YouTube and social media, and participation in events.

This approach opens the door for future opportunities where, upon mutual agreement between the production and the talent, they may make special appearances in future projects - similar to a graduate visiting their alma mater.

How much talents will participate in these kinds of projects will vary based on the circumstances of each talent and the production, and as such, the “conclusion of streaming activities” for each talent may not always be the same. We kindly ask for the understanding and patience of fans in this regard.
It is also important to note that neither of the terms “graduation” or “conclusion of streaming activities” outweigh or trump the other. Our goal as a production is to provide a meaningful and supportive new beginning for our talents, and we believe that any form of departure is a decision by the talent that is to be respected.

Towards a More Inclusive and Diverse Production

As we celebrate the 7th anniversary of hololive production, the activities of our affiliated talents have expanded into many different areas and the unwavering support of our fans has been a tremendous source of strength for both talents and the production.
We remain committed to fostering an environment where fans can support their favorite talents as they embark on a new journey, while minimizing feelings of anxiety and sadness, and creating a brighter and more fulfilling future for all.

Thank you once again for your incredible support of hololive production and its talents.

It is honestly kinda worrying though. Aqua and A-chan were more understandable as they were at it for 6-7 years by the time they wanted to go. Of course the company would be completely different from when they joined and goals would eventually misalign. Chloe came in at the end of 2021 though and Holo was her dream job. It's hard not to think about whatever change in direction would make her want to go.

The health issues with her throat is also really unfortunate. She had one of the best vocal ranges in the entire company and gave godlike performances every time she went up on stage. I can only wish her the best going forward.

I don't think there's any reason to go doomer as of yet. Even more than Fubuki's words, this still seems to be the place where Subaru can work towards her dreams and be happy with her friends. As long as that continues to hold up, I'll trust that things will work out. But I guess I'm getting more jaded at all of it the longer it goes on.

I dunno man. I'm just tired of 2024.

I mean, look at nijisister and you know how Kurosanji has fallen so much. Cover could be affected by twitter and bluesky mob as well, but in slower speed.

Disclaimer: this is my conspiracy theory, dont take it seriously. :fishmandispair:

If you really want to sperg about DEI and wokeism for the upcoming 600 posts, twitter is down the hall and to the right, Kirsche's stream is down the hall and to the left.

The twitter mobs could effect things, but Niji fostered that behavior on themselves and didn't nip that retardedness in the bud. So far have I haven't seen big waves of it in Holo and the talents don't seem to allow it.

you have a point
it is concerning that Holo has been pushing their popular talents more lately

are they going the way of Niji where the top thrive but the bottom are left to fend for themselves?

To be fair, you can be the absolute bottom in the Holo and still be better than everyone but a couple of people in Niji. If you go by pure numbers then it would still make sense for Cover to invest in you

Have you not seen the shit that companies like Sony, SEGA, Capcom and Square Enix are up to? That doujin sellers are being coerced by payment processors to limit the content they sell? DEI is coming to Japan, I just hope that Japan comes to its senses and kicks it out before it does too much damage.
