Gura may as well stay in Cover and not stream and maybe get a free trip to Japan vs being an indie and not stream (aka a nobody)I would have expected Laplus over Chloe. Then again, I would have expected Gura over Ame, yet here we are.

The one company that actually cares what investors have to say fired a troon. That's all anyone need to know about how much they careSaying it's because of a DEI shift is absolutely ridiculous though. There's so many reasons that a company can turn to shit beyond having a push for diversity. Please take your meds.
Chloe will be graduating from streaming on January 26th. She will become an affiliate afterwards.
Note from management as well:
An Announcement to Our Fans Regarding the Conclusion of Sakamata Chloeâs Channel Activities | hololive production

I think at that point anyone savvy enough with business would be quick to point out how unpopular "soul switching" is and how WACTOR/910inc is probably not earning anything that big as far as their vtubing division goes, a quick glance at their newest crop of vtubers and their most popular original talent has 10k, their most subscribed one has a healthy 128k at a glance, but a quick gander at the vtubing wiki tells you she was one of the vtubers who had a VA switch, and she is now a 2view as a resultI think the "differences in direction" may have something to do with policies made to appease shareholders. Probably the same group of people asking "why don't we just recast for graduated IP instead?" I feel like the "Affiliate" status was partially made to appease them and remove pressure as well. Because now they can say "well, we can't recast, because they'll be coming back at some point in the future."
I'm sure WACTOR's shitty practices are emboldening soulless suits who made all of their money in the entertainment business, since they have an example to point to.
It's unpopular, but think about it from the perspective of a soulless entertainment producer. The amount of money you can make from a 2view IP is still more than you can get from an IP that is doing nothing besides gathering dust.I think at that point anyone savvy enough with business would be quick to point out how unpopular "soul switching" is and how WACTOR/910inc is probably not earning anything that big as far as their vtubing division goes, a quick glance at their newest crop of vtubers and their most popular original talent has 10k, their most subscribed one has a healthy 128k at a glance, but a quick gander at the vtubing wiki tells you she was one of the vtubers who had a VA switch, and she is now a 2view as a result
Souless suits are retarded, but i dont think 910 or WACTOR has enough pull to lure them in
Yeah, I wouldn't rule out being tired of bureaucracy, since it's something that's probably got much worse as the company's grown. I don't care for "talent freedom" bullshit, but every scandal, legal issue, miscommunication etc. can push a company of Cover's size toward the opposite extreme, since every problem that arises brings new rules and regulations to make sure it doesn't happen again.Hololive's problem may run deeper than simple management incompetence. If talents are seeing that leaving gives them more control, a better revenue percentage, less management autism etc, while retaining a decent audiience, then you'd expect the more self-motivated ones to give leaving serious consideration, even without any "creative differences".
Voice dramas, promotion videos for irl events, VNs or even just plain old "lets waste 4-6 hours of everyones life just sitting on a meeting and listening to shit you can't be possibly less interested". Niji really liked doing 3 hours long meetings in the middle of the night, that had so little substance no one even bothered to DM you if you missed one. It's not work but it will cut into a free time you had, when you could be doing workI can kinda guess some recordings are for voice packs but those are usually not obligatory unless it's gen specific, and I have no idea what other projects they usually deal with but they seem to be a lot of work for everyone.
Huh? Where/how? You can still use them on Fantia etc.JCB has been bowing in line right along with Visa/Mastercard
It's work, the worst kind of work, never let someone claim it isn't.It's not work but it will cut into a free time you had, when you could be doing work
Just wanted to save and note it down cause it's nice to finally have a more clear stance on what affiliate means.

Thank you for your continued support of the talents affiliated with hololive production.
We would like to take a moment to address some details regarding the term “conclusion of streaming activities.”
“Graduation” and “Conclusion of Streaming Activities”
Until now, when talents end their activities with hololive production, we have always referred to it as “graduation.”
The term graduation describes when a talent is leaving the production and concluding all activities, with the exception of a few ongoing projects.
However, this complete cessation of activities is often accompanied by significant sadness brought to the fans of hololive production and its talents, who have lovingly supported their journey, and the staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes.
Therefore, we are exploring new ways to positively send off talents departing the production.
As part of this, we have introduced the concept “conclusion of streaming activities” as a possible form of graduation. While it is still a type of graduation, “conclusion of streaming activities” involves stopping streaming-related activities, such as that for YouTube and social media, and participation in events.
This approach opens the door for future opportunities where, upon mutual agreement between the production and the talent, they may make special appearances in future projects - similar to a graduate visiting their alma mater.
How much talents will participate in these kinds of projects will vary based on the circumstances of each talent and the production, and as such, the “conclusion of streaming activities” for each talent may not always be the same. We kindly ask for the understanding and patience of fans in this regard.
It is also important to note that neither of the terms “graduation” or “conclusion of streaming activities” outweigh or trump the other. Our goal as a production is to provide a meaningful and supportive new beginning for our talents, and we believe that any form of departure is a decision by the talent that is to be respected.
Towards a More Inclusive and Diverse Production
As we celebrate the 7th anniversary of hololive production, the activities of our affiliated talents have expanded into many different areas and the unwavering support of our fans has been a tremendous source of strength for both talents and the production.
We remain committed to fostering an environment where fans can support their favorite talents as they embark on a new journey, while minimizing feelings of anxiety and sadness, and creating a brighter and more fulfilling future for all.
Thank you once again for your incredible support of hololive production and its talents.
