Yeah this is my assumption as well, they must have lost an investor. Too much stuff planned for it to have been a normal company failure.My pet rrat is that one of the investors got impatient and suddenly decided to pull their funds from the company before the end of the year. Might be threatening to take action/hold the company hostage otherwise. This would explain why basically everyone was caught off-guard.
If it was a change in management/acquisition the mood would have been very different and we would have seen PL activity way in advance of this. If it was purely because of poor financial performance, then it would make more sense to push through with the Christmas events since they would have made quite a bit of money.
I suppose things are going on behind-the-scenes, maybe the company is looking for a quick cash transfusion or working some legal chicanery. No choice but to wait and see.
It also adds to the vibe that the girls seem genuinely confused about what's going to happen. The company seemed really good so far, so hopefully they can at least keep their stuff.
