Luli just posted her debut trailer

It's happening on 21 March at 5 PM PST. The snippets from her model look pretty cute and bouncy.

I wish I had found this place earlier as I have been trying to piece together the PixelLink story myself from what I gathered from streams and on X since the closure announcement but always felt like major pieces didn't make sense, speedrunning this thread cleared up so many of my questions and I'm thankful for it.

A quick bit of background: Lottie was my favorite of the group, I had been part of when Pippa raided us into her debut stream and became a member when it first opened. That was longest uninterrupted membership I've ever had lasting all the way until her graduation. One of the first things that puzzled me was that if the company was closing at the end of March why was everyone, especially those not keeping their IPs, in such a rush to graduate in just a week.

In Lottie's announcement stream she seemed so said about not being able to keep her IP and showed us the 2nd outfit she wasn't going to get to wear. Then Raki announced her donothon and Daiya got her surprise help from Zentraya so some of us asked during her final members stream if she was just hesitant to ask the Lads and that we'd like to support a donothon for her. This is when she told us the story that the Lottie character has baggage attached to it as most of the time she's been Lottie her dad was very ill and the character reminds her of that time and she wants a fresh start, so we stopped asking.

But then come after the graduation I figured that she'd debut this new character in a few weeks or months as typical, no she started streaming as Lazuli only two days after Lottie's graduation. I was honestly a bit put off by this as the body wasn't even cold yet and she's acting like we're not even supposed to spend any time in mourning. Now I read in this thread about how she already started on this months ago and it feels like she wasn't honest with her fans in the final week of being Lottie. I'm also wondering how much of Chio and Wisu's sadness in their announcement streams was an act as well if they were already set to leave as soon as the decision over the future of the company was announced.

Probably contractually mandated, I wouldn't take it personally. (Or, if you do, the only answer is to avoid all corpos and only watch indies). She may not be in a position to afford taking a few months off in between.

I haven't watched her so I can't speak from a fan's perspective, but getting "back to work" as soon as possible feels like more of a practical necessity than anything - not just for the immediate need to pay the bills (if she's not streaming then she's not making money), but also because maintaining an audience when there are so many other distractions out there, for a smaller (relatively-speaking) streamer is incredibly difficult. If you break your schedule you see drop-off, which is the main reason why non-compete agreements are such a major factor in agency contracts.

Huge ex-corpos (Nimi etc.) can afford downtime before their re-debut since there's usually a lot of media coverage promoting their comeback, but smaller ex-corpos aren't as fortunate.
