I'm glad we got at least four years of HOLOEN before we got a real graduation from them
Just in time to spice up New Year's Eve, the day with most suicides per year!Remember, lots of breakups happen around Christmas and as we are seeing Corpos are like "we want in on that too"
Man, PixelLink were the only small corpo going full in on networking and investing in content. I can see them running out of money because they're actually spending money, but any other kind of bullshit is a bit uncharacteristic for them.
The way you put it reminds me of the era gaming was for a while: only budget indies or AAA slop, no inbetween.Man, PixelLink were the only small corpo going full in on networking and investing in content. I can see them running out of money because they're actually spending money, but any other kind of bullshit is a bit uncharacteristic for them.
And yeah it doesn't bode well for the small corpo model if the gold standard of small corpos doesn't even make 1.5 years from debut.
e: Chio was going to do Phasmophobia with Runie at some point...

Not Moona won a contest.
Merry Christmas, one and all! Surely, no other companies will try to one-up this bloodbath, right?

I was thinking of PixelLink's Christmas Conundrum Causes Crowd Chagrin but I'll go with this.PixelLink - Here to post pixels and share links, and they're all out of pixels.
This is Lottie. The art style is her's and she mentions kaiju in her description. Don't know why she is making a new account rather than returning to her old one.
No merch on their site, because they outsourced all their merch business to Kawa early on, after some initial merch issues.> largest sub count is ~35k
> no merch on sale, only voicepacks
> in fucking california
They are deep in red with no prospects to break even anytime soon.
I'm pretty sure this is Lottie (odd that she would make a new account when still has her PL as Lilita - it's been locked for a couple of months now, I think after someone started posting tweets from her PL on /vt/). Art comparison:
Just finished the space, Daiya is pretty calm and talking about her future streams like normal, other than repeatedly reassuring Monmons that "the world is not ending". Miuna's also quiet on her alt, and Kanna will still be streaming like it's nobody's business:Daiyas also live on Twitter rn

Reminder that this girl has survived CyberLive, Tsunderia, and AkioAir (the reply is Raki's PL):Wisu...
Seeing as Holo EN4 just dropped, this thread could use a bump. Just keeping track of the PixelLink girls. Lottie, Miuna, Chiaki and Daiya seem to be unknowns.
Edited to include PixelChronicle PLs.
PixelStart
Nebi Nebu - previously Nezumi Nemurin/EllietheVtuber (Twitch), now Nekomiya Mimi (Twitter) after graduating
Raki Kazuki - I'm 95% sure she's Nyankosai (Twitter), part of an utaite circle that may have included Shiki Miyoshino at some point. Still semi-active on PL Twitter. Posting PoW because of the 5% element of doubt:
The mixer for Raki's debut cover is Vallychuuu, an utaite with a decent following.

In the /vt/ thread for PixelStart debuts, an anon hinted at a duet notRaki had with Vally. Rather helpfully, Vally has a playlist for collabs on her channel:

The first song in the playlist is a duet with Nyankosai:
Cross-referencing some of Sai's songs with Raki's, and my ears became sure it was her:
PixelChronicle
Kanna Yanagi - previously Erika Byakko of VReverie, and prior to that Freya Fuyuki, an indie. Still has access to the Freya Twitter.
Arisu Oshiro - previously Maria Paradisia (Twitter) of the stillborn 4th generation of Tsunderia. Was going to be in AkioAir prior to its collapse; allegedly set to debut in CyberLive before she (wisely) jumped ship.
Chio Chompi - previously Rune Bunnura, an indie. Her PL Twitter is now protected.
Searching for the PLs of the VReverie Guardians before the seemingly inevitable collapse inadvertently led me to a couple more Pixel girls:
Lottie Shinju - previously Lilita LaPlume (Twitter), an indie VTuber. PL graduated February 2023. Occasionally active on PL Twitter. Art sisters with Selen and Elira of NijiEN. How I found her: Clicked on her profile while looking through ex-VRev Bri's (not-Cheri Lupina) Following List.
How did I confirm? Voice and the laugh.
Miuna Usako - previously Miyuora (Twitter), an utaite who occasionally streamed on Twitch. Still active on PL Twitter with occasional RL stuff. Caution: It should go without saying, but be mindful of following. Low follower count, but I already see some known Pixel fans who have followed her as well as some VTweeters.
Start by looking through MV credits for mixers. In Miuna's case, there's one mixer consistently works with her, akitsu, who also sings.
Searching Akitsu's YT for Miuna brings up this video:
Miuna is credited for the visuals:

This hints that Miuna's PL was heavier into the visual side of things in MV production. Scrolling through akitsu's Twitter turns some interactions with Miyuora or Mimi, currently looking for MV comms:

The YT is linked on the Twitter, so all that's left is to compare a sample:
Dead ringer. As though to confirm things further, YouTube recommended me Miyuora's collab with Sai (not-Raki):
That seems to be par for the course for Kanna. She went completely radio silent last time despite all of her peers firing up their PL/alt accounts and tweeting a bunch. Obviously, she had her gig lined up with Pixel Link from the get-go, so that attributed to the silence, but it's not out of character for her--even when trouble is brewing....other than Kanna, over the past few hours. Kanna hasn't posted anything on her Freya account.

Start archiving nowAny existing archives of the channels/vods in case the company decides to nuke stuff for whatever reason?
Oh, this is interesting, it sounds like a split down the middle rather than a full-on dissolution. Could be a change in management/acquisition some of them are okay with while the others vehemently hate, could be woman drama. We're just at the wait-and-see phase right now, I guess.Just finished the space, Daiya is pretty calm and talking about her future streams like normal, other than repeatedly reassuring Monmons that "the world is not ending". If this is a corpo dissolution, it's one of the weirdest I've seen, maybe even weirder than VReverie.
My pet rrat is that one of the investors got impatient and suddenly decided to pull their funds from the company before the end of the year. Might be threatening to take action/hold the company hostage otherwise. This would explain why basically everyone was caught off-guard.Oh, this is interesting, it sounds like a split down the middle rather than a full-on dissolution.
