The tweets from the girls were just giving "someone's graduating/getting fired" vibes, but the fact they're cancelling the full event rather than just adjusting the schedule's a death flag.
It's gonna be especially awful if they've all just found out they're losing their jobs a few days before Christmas.
If PixelLink is acquired by Brave or otherwise closing I think I have no choice but to agree with Proctor, EN based small corpos are dead. Brave itself seems to have infinite money to throw at the scene but, outside of questionably legitimate pre-debut sub numbers for the latest V4M gen, they don't seem to have much to show for it. That just leaves Phasing in and the holy grail of getting accepted to Holo EN for girls that don't want to whore themselves out and join VHoeShow. 2024 certainly has been a hell of a year for the industry... As someone who mostly watches Phase and smaller girls, I really hope something can be done to keep things going on YouTube. I dread a future where the only scene for 2-3 views is Twitch whore indie hell.

Reading all the tweets, this feels so much more serious than just the company closing to me. Even though, at the same time, there is little reason to believe it is more than that.
I get that women can be emotional, but this is something else, and so sudden as well. I've never seen a reaction like this to a corpo closing or changing structure.

I mean, other than Specialite (which has a significant JP presence) I think PixelLink was pretty much the last of the EN microcorpos anyways. Who even is left after this year? Fucking Flork's corpo?
EIEN is gone, Kawaii finally gave up the ghost, Prism Project stopped operation, Idol got bought out... Pretty much every small corpo in EN either got eaten by Brave or died on its own this year.
EDIT: I guess NOA and Vallure are still a thing as well, to be fair.
