PixelLink is commiefornian company that never turned enough profit to cover even much lower upkeep than commiefornian. One likely scenario is founder fucked up taxes and got assets seized.
Unless the bank now owns their assets. If this rat has any weight to itThats weird, they should've some good numbers because it was steady growth and the GFE definitely helps getting hard cash. Perhaps the growth wasn't fast enough?
And if the company is going under it sounds too petty to not leave the models to the talents or sell it at 70% off.

All of that could be true and I still wouldn't trust it when it's you saying it. You're like the Jim Cramer of VTuber business.> largest sub count is ~35k
> no merch on sale, only voicepacks
> in fucking california
They are deep in red with no prospects to break even anytime soon.
Man, PixelLink were the only small corpo going full in on networking and investing in content. I can see them running out of money because they're actually spending money, but any other kind of bullshit is a bit uncharacteristic for them.If PixelLink is acquired by Brave or otherwise closing I think I have no choice but to agree with Proctor, EN based small corpos are dead. Brave itself seems to have infinite money to throw at the scene but, outside of questionably legitimate pre-debut sub numbers for the latest V4M gen, they don't seem to have much to show for it. That just leaves Phasing in and the holy grail of getting accepted to Holo EN for girls that don't want to whore themselves out and join VHoeShow. 2024 certainly has been a hell of a year for the industry... As someone who mostly watches Phase and smaller girls, I really hope something can be done to keep things going on YouTube. I dread a future where the only scene for 2-3 views is Twitch whore indie hell.
I feel like "small corpo" in vtubing is oxymoron. You either go big, both in viewership and number of talents, or will never break even and die under 2 years. And yeah it doesn't bode well for the small corpo model if the gold standard of small corpos doesn't even make 1.5 years from debut.
Remember, lots of breakups happen around Christmas and as we are seeing Corpos are like "we want in on that too"Merry Christmas, one and all! Surely, no other companies will try to one-up this bloodbath, right?
