Since Offkai is now announced for 2025, I'm making this thread well in advance to both reserve it for the calendar and have a thread available for any potential controversies like occurred last year.

I would like to highly encourage anyone here who has the chance to volunteer for Offkai staff duties. It was obvious last year that certain demographics effectively had a veto power over anyone who attended if they were deemed guilty of wrongthink, and I think it's important to be the change you want to see in the industry.

I've nothing further to add yet. This thread will probably - hopefully - remain somewhat dormant until it's closer to the time, but given Offkai's track record, I think it's worth having a containment space just in case.

Okay. I don't particularly care either but you're the one who wanted the forum to be respected and be a resource for chuubas to use, if anyone wants to give the forum a bad name and make us kf for vtubers then this direct sort of call to action is good ammo, just sayin'.

I don't see why encouraging people to volunteer and give a convention better service and accessibility for people is an evil thing to anyone apart from those who are completely ideologically captured. I encouraged people to volunteer for Vexpo too and only didn't myself because it was already too late by then.

I think that if anyone here does volunteer and get in, posting about it should be the last thing they do.

Both because doing so could give them clues as to who you are, and also because nobody posting about it will leave them unsure and paranoid about whether there might be traitors in their midst.

Many indies already think here's the Vtuber KF, you're a bit behind the times.
Asking doesn't hurt, but why would any inmate sacrifice their time and enjoyment in this Earth to be as miserable as possible servicing pozzed individuals just to be ousted as a "chud" if they don't fit in right away? You should be asking Offkai's organizers to hire people, so lettersoup goblins can't do much damage.
