I met a pair of Nano fans and a guy with a Kirsche shirt in the hotel bar. Had a really great conversation with them. I don't care what anyone thinks of her, she's forever based for letting a guy with illegal firearms and anarchist tendencies hang out in her discord. Hope he never has to fight in an actual revolution, he's going to be the only guy with a spine for a hundred miles.

True, but that voice coming out of a man is fairly unusual.
Apparently someone who knew me was at the vdere panel and thought they recognised my voice but didn't quite figure it out before I left. Would've bought me a beer. Can't link easily because tablet and near bedtime, but he's in the replies on my own reply to her.
Next time I'll definitely prepare a lot more. I was genuinely quite worried about potentially getting denied entry if I broadcasted who I was in advance, but I met some very based people I connected with very well. There's a ton more grounded people out there, they just don't get a proper chance to connect with others like them. The deranged parasocials and crazy rainbows have had an iron grip on the scene for way too long. But this experience really heartened me to the possibility of not needing to hover in the shadows.
