I get that it's mostly jokes, but how would the "deporting illegals from Offkai" scenario even work?
Foreigners, even those staying illegally, can just bring ID from their home country and still visit the M&G unless Offkai staff start asking to see your Visa.

Also, what is it with people still being bothered with Offkai staff knowing their name and address? They already know, you furnished them with those details and more when you bought your ticket.

Stop being a bootlicker. There is a major difference between a convention having an abstract notion that someone is connected to an account and having a copy of their licensed government-issued ID provided in a manner that allows them to effortlessly cross-reference it and turn it into a hard dox.

Let me put it another way. If literally every single staff member at Twitchcon wanted me banned from going and were ready to black bag me at the door, they would have no ability to do so with just the details I gave them when I bought my ticket. They wouldn't know my face or any personally identifying details. The best they could do is go 'hey, these tickets were bought by people in Ireland, let's alert our staff to specifically ask any person who arrives from Ireland if they are the notorious groomer known as Proctor Zakharov, and really really really pray he doesn't just lie.'

Meanwhile if I were to go to a M&G at Offkai, I would now be obligated to connect the dots between my identity as a ticket-holder and my identity as a flesh-and-blood person for them, which any of their staff can then share around for one of their private little lefty blacklists they love to create.

There is no justification for this, ever. Con staff have no right to know anything about me beyond what is absolutely necessary for them to do their jobs as IRL jannies, which is essentially nothing at all.

I think its just absurd that for whatever reason, unlike most other cons, whatever they use to verify M&G tickets at the venue itself is insufficient compared to other events. To the point where they need extra verification

Other cons like Anime Impulse and Anime Boston have had similar rules and all the staff did was glance at it to make sure "Jenny Tayla" or "Michael Hunt" was on the list for the correct M&G at X specific time slot.

OffKai is staffed by petty, malicious liars. What they say they're doing and what they're actually doing don't necessarily line up; regardless of policy, if a rogue volunteer (or staff member, as we know the rot goes all the way up to the top) wants to start writing down names, dates of birth, hometowns etc. of people who visit a certain meet-and-greet to weaponise against a vtuber they don't like there is absolutely nothing stopping them - and it would absolutely not be out of character for them, given what we already know about their consistently unprofessional conduct.

Even the proctor himself has only shown so far a blurry arm pic, is there any other way you could get name and facedoxed from just flashing your ID as verification?

Not trusting offkai staff is understandable and I won't fault anyone for that. If such a thing does happen, I'll take the L. However, the ID policy in of itself is pretty common.
