Not really in the mood to do a full writeup, but the lowdown is (I am paraphrasing, none of this is verbatim):
"I am not the biggest fan of management and you all know how much I criticize them, but all the girls leaving is not because of just one thing in particular and not for the same reasons. It is usually a lot of different things adding up over time, so there is no single thing they could do to fix it."

She also noted that people still chose their participation in idol shit and projects and was direct about that not being the reason. To be clear, she is definitely not all "oh there is nothing wrong with management" and more being neutral between them and Fauna.

She said a lot more, as she is just starting the watchalong an hour and 10 minutes in. Would be better to watch the whole thing for her full thoughts, tbh.

The biggest sticking point for me is her not taking the affiliate offer, but then it hit me that what if she wasn’t offered it. I just assumed every member would have that offer but the truly dark timeline would be Cover going “Well, we crunched the numbers and your IP isn’t worth keeping on.”

The most likely cancelled Nendroid is the only physical one I can think of, and that was something everyone was getting, like the Omocat collab merch. She never had Hyte collab like the others, no Gamersupps shit. I’m drawing a blank.

Well, all of his examples seem easily verifiable, especially the one that happened during her anniversary stream. Hopefully some saplings here can help with that.

Only got through a couple vods because my internet started acting up, but she mentions future stuff a few times and to me doesn't sound like she knows shes quitting or thinking about quitting. But probably cope.

This is what gets to me the most. Not that I'm an expert on her personality or anything but her being absolutely blunt about the fact it's over disagreements with managements feels like this is as diplomatic as she can be with how she feels about the situation. It's not a "Oh well things just aren't working out for me at this time and so it'd be better if I went my own way" soft-stated departure with still vague inference, it's a hardline "I have disagreements with management" that has the feel that the unsaid version is "They're not listening to me and the way they're acting has me wishing I could beat them to death with a hammer".

Maybe just rrat brain taking over, seeing things I want to believe, but it comes across to me like she's upset at staff to some degree rather than being upset by broader circumstances forcing her out. Something very short order. Why do I have a feeling like there's something behind the scenes for what's been going on with Ina that's triggered this?

... Why do I have the idea that Fauna went to management and was like "Why does Gura still get to profit when she doesn't work? Do something about this." and management just smirked at her and replied "Or what?" and this was the 'or what'.

Twitch streaming is basically them saying "byebye" to a sizeable amount of their audience that are YT only. And yet they still do anyway. Personally, as much as I loved Ame, I'm not catching any of her Twitch-only streams and I hope she continues to simulcast between it and YT.

OTOH, in the not so distant future, if enough Holos graduate and go indie - there might be enough of them to form a small ex-Holo co-op of their own where they regularly collab with each other and it'll all feel like they're just in Holo again - minus the Nip corpo autism. I mean, that's the dream... right!? RIGHT, MOTHERFUCKERS!?

I have no shit thought of starting a sort of collective for corpo departure vtubers to associate with that can provide a level of organization structure without being a corpo specifically but that's only going to be so profitable and I'm not the one with a business degree so the broader business of it is all foreign concepts to me. I'm also a nobody with no stake or presence so getting anyone to actually take this idea as a legitimate thing instead of a giant grift will be hard. I guess it would be sort of like one of those other streamer collectives but just much narrower focus for vtubers that want access to resources for 3d modelling, animation, other art assets, MV production, audio mixing, etc. etc.

What numbers? The affiliate allows Cover to make money from the IP and this does not. She wanted out out.
