I've said it before, but I do believe PL stuff is dead for big corpo vtubers once they leave. When you get into Holo and debut it's probably really fun to start new with a big company and new name. Of course fans will figure you out instantly but playing along with the talent is part of the fun. When you go indie though you don't want to lose your hard won audience. If you were worth anything at all you'll have plenty of followers. Ex. Ame, Selen, Aqua, Pomu, eventually Fauna come next year. If you were worthless and talentless fraud you'll have no one Ex. Kyo.

The subscriber and viewer boost when you get into a corpo is real, but at the end of the day it is only exposure. Won't retain that if you have nothing to offer, but Fauna is a winner so she'll keep on winning.

At that point you are just being a dumbass on purpose.
There wasn't a need for a team at the beginning of vtubing... because you have to literally see 8 years into the future for it to make sense. Vtubing has gone through 8 years now, and terminology must changes along with its evolution.

PL just don't really cut it anymore and is an obsolete term. At the beginning of vtubing, the "past life" usually get taken off the internet to protect people's identity. Or people just graduate their old vtuber identity to join a corpo. Graduation to join a corpo is much less common nowadays, most just go on hiatus with the intention of eventual resumption.

Reincarnation sounds fine. I do agree that using PL is kinda dumb now. The term has long past served it's original meaning.

Twitch streaming is basically them saying "byebye" to a sizeable amount of their audience that are YT only. And yet they still do anyway. Personally, as much as I loved Ame, I'm not catching any of her Twitch-only streams and I hope she continues to simulcast between it and YT.

OTOH, in the not so distant future, if enough Holos graduate and go indie - there might be enough of them to form a small ex-Holo co-op of their own where they regularly collab with each other and it'll all feel like they're just in Holo again - minus the Nip corpo autism. When Vesper graduated, I've been looking to find an app sort of like Youtube Revanced but for Twitch. I still didn't get around to watching twitch though because I'm too used to Youtube and I admittedly didn't put much effort into finding the right app.
Now that Fauna, my most watched, is graduating, and there's a non-zero chance of her doing twitch streams, It might just be the push I need to actually get accustomed to twitch.

Is Grayjay for Twitch pretty much the same thing as Revanced for Youtube?

And for Everyone else,
what firefox extensions would be good for twitch on Desktop?
For youtube, I use an extension that can speed up more than just 2x (with hotkeys too)
I also use LiveTL so I can watch the video at semi-fullscreen while chat is still visible on the side.

I would appreciate the recommendations as I know I need to prepare early, just in case she decides to do twitch streaming
