What I don't get is if all of us are SO DONE with the "roommates don't exist" nonsense and we all know she's gonna return this weekend or smth why is everyone crying? From my personal experience its like seeing someone leave a pro league team and appearing in the amateur league that you play with your buddies just for fun in the weekends, they are still there but it will never be the same

You aren't wrong, but the dynamic is just different sometimes. Interactions, potentially the content, possibly the bantz (though to be fair with her, not having to hide her power level might upgrade that pretty hard) etc. It's entirely possible she just swaps to doing a bunch of stuff I don't actually care for. It's possible she DOES quit vtubing, just unlikely for most people like you said.
I dunno man. It's like knowing a character I like is gone or dead in the story. Sure they aren't someone I know, it isn't personal, she's not a friend of mine so she might as well be as fake as said game character. But still sucks for that moment though even if I can just restart the game and they're still around I guess. People are kind of stupid. And man I sure am a person. Usually.

Many coworkers, vtubers included, will just stay as such and never contact outside the job. But it's also very easy to form a connection when you have someone dealing with the same workplace nonsense as you.

This is even more amplified as a vtuber because vtubing is inherently a social job. All vtubers, hell all streamers, form some sort of connection with their chat. That's literally the point of streaming. Then corpo vtubers will debut with genmates, will have senpai/kouhai around and they'll get to know each other, usually before debut and certainly after. They do collabs, come up with ideas, spend late nights chatting, etc. They're also a shoulder to cry on and vent to about their issues, because the person they're talking to is likely going through the same shit and can understand.

While doing all of that is part of the job, it also just naturally results in becoming closer and forming a bond. And when most vtubers are introverted, anti-social weirdos, they would want to keep that connection. Aqua's entire character arc over 6 years was about this and now she has so many friends she wouldn't have had otherwise. Of course, that connection can last even after someone leaves the workplace (we're getting frequent stories about Aqua hanging out with Holos) but it still fucking sucks because the job is what got them together in the first place. And with vtubing, that also means no more onscreen interaction, which feels bad for both the chuuba and the fans.

In addition, the talents themselves are barely holding back tears currently. Nerissa was basically bawling as I typed this. Fauna has been tearing up since the start of the stream. She can show up tomorrow as LemonLeaf and that'd be great, but her place in the company and the ability to interact with the others on stream is something that won't come back. That kinda sucks to say the least.

She will just collab with your favorite indies, Holos are corposlop anyways, as for the outfit, better chance than not that she commissions her mama and gets an almost identical legally distinct lookalike

If they really wanted to collab with her they would do it like the HoloID talents and use the PL avatar/IRL self/anonymous VC setup instead.
Don't try to put this under "unavoidable circumstances", it is very much doable, and if the company tries to stop it it's blowing light on their own talents' privacy, which is pretty much the worst kind of PR you want.
