Simple criticism/hate scrolling. VT is anonymous, so some mistakenly believe that it is the best place to source criticism to improve their content. /vt/ is a massive eternal dumpster fire, so it's a good place to go when you want to stare into the void and X isn't cutting it. Also, VT is a decent place to talk shit without repercussions unless they're stupid enough to post identifying info. I imagine some real hatred was thrown by some of these vtubers behind the safety of anonymity, and amongst this group, im willing to wager there are a lot of Beauty Parlour regulars.
I'm actually surprised to hear that. Without giving out any identifying information, were the Vtubers you talked to more on the "big indie/corpo" side or "small indie"? I can see Vtubers browsing /vt/ if they are small and looking for an audience/someone talking about them, but the moment you start to get big the less useful it becomes
