Hope so, I'd much rather be annoyed by the lack of communication than have something happen just as she was getting ready to start pushing herself next year.
At this point I think Pippa's death as Proctor described it would be an unhappy and unwelcomed, but kind of acceptable alternative to this.

Also Reticule's AI would probably default his pathfinding to a beeline towards her. Not very hard to hit, especially at point blank range
