I wouldn't discount medication so quickly. Medication is overprescribed, and should be used as a last resort due to the side effects. It's a lot easier and cheaper, and has far fewer side effects to try fixing your mental health by eating well, exercising regularly, maintaining a regular sleep schedule and real-life friendships, and getting therapy if that doesn't work. But it should be an option.

oh I'm not discounting it at all, but she is extremely anti meds. I refused meds myself for years before I finally decided to give them a try and it was probably one of the best decisions of my life.
