I remember getting one when the NSMB game came out, I enjoyed it. Then they made it over and over until I hate it

The DS didn't really take off until the Lite version which was around the same time as that. And yeah they nosedived that spinoff series instantly.

The "true" core DS games of that time were Mario Kart, New Super Mario Bros, Nintendogs and most importantly at the time Brain Age

Pippa (and everyone else) needs to just get a Miyoo Mini Plus, total chinesium, but it's GBA SP form factor (wish it could fold ) that can play games up to PSX. Also has a modding community.
