I'm not going to sperg out too hard about her calling it a "concentration camp in another country". I don't claim to be an expert on El Salvador or Nayib Bukele or anything they do, but I will say that El Salvador was considered one of the most dangerous countries at one point because of their problems with gang violence until Bukele came in and started sweeping that shit up. Yes, some innocents (not this guy) have been unfortunately swept up in this from time to time. Nothing is perfect. And yes, some of the methods used to find alleged gang members are pretty extreme at times. But El Salvador was at the point where all of this was necessary. I've seen plenty of people from El Salvador say that they finally feel safe enough to go outside, to send their kids to school and allow them to play outside, to not fear for their lives in their own neighborhoods and homes. Who am I or who is Kelsey to judge how they've handled the gang problem in their country? Guarantee neither of us have ever lived somewhere and experienced these realities of the people of El Salvador. If it works for the people, and its made their lives better, then good for them. That's what's important. I don't give a damn about these shitty gang members who've made the lives of ordinary citizens a nightmare for this long. Fuck them.
TL;DR: Dear Kelsey, try to think outside of your tiny mental bubble about the perspectives of the people who actually live there and have been directly affected by the things you're talking about before talking your shit you privileged piece of shit.
