He's not entirely wrong, I've heard many others who said that just as it was gaining momentum and getting organized these identitarians suddenly came out of the woodwork. This happened way earlier with the Hippie Movement, there's an activist I forget the name of (he was that guy with the American flag shirt in "Forrest Gump") quoted complaining about how just as the civil rights movement was gaining momentum suddenly all these flower children obsessed with sex and drugs came from out of nowhere and polluted the movement.
