And with Navi's stream ended, we've heard the last death gasp of EIEN. For someone known to refer to the talents as her "daughters" I sure noticed a distinct lack of Eri today - in the graduation chats, in the EIEN Discord, on her twitter...
Huh I guess that even includes not posting graduations... or not:
Don't let all the Blaise drama distract you from the fact that basically every problem with EIEN can be traced back to Eri. I've seen multiple sources claim that the upper echelon was filled almost entirely with Eri's personal friends from her time as an indie (extending beyond just Silvi/Risti), and that the only way to advance through the management ranks was to simply be Eri's yes man. No doubt this just further ended up the overly controling "helicopter CEO" we saw - where tasks as simple as getting a new channel in the discord took
days. Even all of the Blaise drama could have been entirely avoided if Eri had found a single competent staff member - Kilia apparently found her PL baggage so there's no excuse for management to have not known. Or worse, if they
did know and hired her anyway...
Regardless EIEN's final day has come to a close and, with Eri still nowhere to be seen, it's all but publicly confirmed that - as some people already knew - the majority of the leaks were in fact authentic and management has gone ballistic, with Almond essentially unmodding EVERYBODY in the discord server. Even Zumi was caught in the crossfire, temporarily losing access to her YouTube channel before Navi even finished her debut:
Thankfully her access was restored before Navi ended and she was able to join chat. Where was Risti while this was happening, you ask? Oh just streaming as her VTuber persona:
Is it any wonder that Navi, despite crying almost her entire graduation stream, would almost immediately tweet out from her Nemo account in relief?
I only really started learning more about EIEN after its closure had already been announced, but I can definitely say good riddance - the girls (not you Blaise) deserved better. I look forward to seeing what they're all capable of now that the shackles of EIEN have been removed, and I'm hopeful that when Eri eventually decides to redebut she'll be held accountable for her massive failure here.
In happier news, it seems as of last night Mirri realized how things could be construed from an outside perspective and maybe even started having a change of heart:
Sure enough, by the time she finished her graduation stream the burnt bridge that started this whole dramafest was restored:
We'll probably never know what actually went down between those two over the past week, but if they're both willing to move on then good for them. Notice, however, who else Ekko has recently followed. Shee Icho - ground zero for the Blaise rrats. I have good reason to believe that Ekko has at least occasionally browsed /eien/ since the closure announcement (who knows, maybe she's even /here/ as well - we've been brought up fairly frequently in the past few threads after all) so I will choose to interpret this particular set of back-to-back follows as more than a mere coincidence. Following Shee specifically when she followed Mirri's reincarnation is almost as if to say that she's aware of the Mirri and Blaise rrats, and while Mirri might (in her opinion) be catching more flak than she deserves, fuck Blaise.
