I think you seriously misinterpreted my sentiments, though. When I say they're jerking off each other's posts on LinkedIn, I mean this as a completely neutral judgement: neither good nor bad. Networking is just how adults (especially working in tech) survive. If I hadn't learned to do this sort of stuff myself, pretend to be nice to racists & sexists & bigots, I'd probably be homeless or dead. But learning to play nice with people who I would normally disagree with in a bunch of ways means I make about $50k a year and pay all my own bills and own a car and rent my own apartment.

I'm trying not to be too mean, here, but being mad at corporations because one or two of their employees are kinda shitty now and then is incredibly immature and just tells me that you've never had a job before.

Jerking each other off professionally doesn't mean they're in close contact. It means a guy knows a guy, and they probably share some kind words about each other's companies. They'd keep an eye on what each other are doing.

Hololive probably does know about small corpos being shut down. They just don't care.

I don't even think it's about caring or not. They're probably at least vaguely aware of what corpo's are good at doing what so they can snipe talented employees when yet another corpo dies.

Not directly EIEN but I've heard of some dead/dying corpos asking as much as 20-30k for models (possibly more) because they know they have the talents over a barrel if they really really really want to keep that model.

Starting to believe the "different girls had different prices" rrat that's been rampant on /vt/. Either way, as nice as it is as viewers for the girls to keep their IP, I feel like selling it to them might actually be scummier than just retiring the model... definitely feels like one last "fuck you" from Eri to do this so soon after Kawaii seemingly gave it out for free to their girls.

Even if we were to take the most cynical view that all CEOs and managers of vtuber agencies are cold-hearted, self-interested bastards with no moral values and were incapable of any sort of friendship, it would still be in their best interest to look after their talents. Talents that are looked after means lower talent turnover, they're working harder and dedicating more time and effort to you, talents that are looked after mean the fanbase is happy and giving you money. Oh, and you're more likely to attract better talents in the future.

I'm listening but have literally 0 clue how one would archive a twitter space... I tuned in a few minutes late but so far she's mostly just wondered how so many people found her new page, talked very briefly about her oshi mark, and been shocked that people have found so much of her model because she didn't know you could do private skebs. Now she's talking about having done karaoke today which pretty much hard confirms she is in fact hanging out with the vdere girls for anyone who still had doubts considering Airi's members only post.

Regarding her model she also mentioned being a little sad but that when you "change jobs you don't normally get to keep the uniform" and that "to her knowledge" the models were over 10k, but she didn't actually know for sure.

A recurring theme is being unsure what voice she should use for her character as she has a "lower pitched" voice within the vtuber sphere even though it's fairly normal in real life, but she doesn't want to use a low voice and come across as "mommy." Seems to be looking forward to being a "freelance agent" (actually she keeps referring to it as "accountant" and was worried that some people only like "accountants that work at a bank" - never heard this way of phrasing vtuber corpos lol) as she can try something for the debut and then say "fuck it" later and get rid of it if she doesn't feel like it.
