He's an obnoxiously flamboyant gay man, he could literally kill someone on stream and there would still be someone out there posting YAS YOU GO BABYGURL in his chat.

I've long had a distaste for hobbyists who try to present a formal front without having the business experience or skills to back it up, and the recent string of amateur corpo startups is only driving that home. You can gauge a lot from first impressions, and I do not need to do any digging into this guy to know he has no long-term plan here. Between commissioning models/rigs, training the new hires, and marketing, debuting vtuber talents successfully is an expensive endeavour so new corpos need plenty of startup capital - which he obviously doesn't have, given he didn't even hire a graphic designer for the intial pitch/announcement. If you asked this guy what his plan for the company a year in would be, he would not be able to provide a roadmap or estimated projection. Just read the announcement post itself, there are no solid commitments; it's all nothing-talk to pander to the kind of indies who don't like Hololive.

The vtuber industry today is at a similar point the YouTube Multi-Channel Networks were at in the mid 2010s, where the big corpos' optics aren't as strong as they used to be while some of the smaller players have built solid foundations for themselves, meaning incompetent amateurs are confident that they can do better. This problem will get much worse before it improves.
